Cool kids! Nicole Richie's tiny tots emulate parent's style

Trendy: Nicole Richie's son Sparrow was the essence of kiddie cool as he accompanied his mother to dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Hollywood, today


Nicole Richie's children are quickly following in the footsteps of their parent's rocker chic style.

Accompanying their 29-year-old mother to dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Hollywood today, Harlow, three, and 18-month-old Sparrow where the essence of kiddie cool.

The tiny tots slipped into some trendy outfits for the evening outing.

Little Harlow emulated her mother's favoured bohemian style in a hippie style floral skirt and a blue tank top, paired with adorable pink ballet flats.

Sparrow on the other hand appeared that he was taking on his father Joel Madden's rocker vibe in an all-black ensemble consisting of a t-shirt, jeans and vest.

He paired the look with some skater style trainers and red sunglasses perched on his head.

At one point Sparrow took crayons out his mother's hand so he could draw fake tattoos on his skin, much like his father who is covered in the real deal.

His sister also sported a butterfly design on her arm.

In usual fashion, their mother was the epitome of casual chic cool in a pair of black jeans, a pink lace camisole and bike jacket.

She accessorised the look with a snakeskin clutch, black boots and aviator sunglasses.

Nicole was recently forced to shoot down rumours that she was pregnant with her third child after a furore of recent media speculation.

The former reality star was seemingly angered about the reports and released a statement calling them 'cruel'.

Earlier this month, Nicole and her husband Joel Madden had a brief honeymoon in Paris - their first getaway since tying the knot in December.

The couple have not announced plans to add to their family but Nicole recently told People that she is in married bliss and has enjoyed every minute of her marriage so far.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are finally engaged! Nicole made the announcement Monday night while appearing on 'The Late Show with David Letterman'.

She confirmed on her Twitter page, "Yep. I'm engaged. Very happy. Yeah we've been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same."

Nicole Richie, best known for starring alongside Paris Hilton in 'The Simple Life', and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte have been dating for three years. The recently engaged couple have two children together - 2 year-old daughter Harlow and 5 month-old son Sparrow.

Miley Cyrus Sets Up Online Auction for Haiti

Teen superstar Miley Cyrus has organized an online auction to benefit Haiti featuring donations from many of her celebrity friends.

"Ever since the earthquake, I've been trying to do my part to help the people of Haiti – and I wanted to do more," Cyrus said.

The auction will begin on Feb. 8 at Ebay.com/Miley. Miley fans can bid on the Herve Leger dress the she wore to the Jan. 31 Grammy Awards and two tickets to the Hollywood premiere of her new film, The Last Song.

Several other celebrities have donated things for the auction. "My mom and I started calling and texting all of our friends to see if they’d like to be a part of the auction," Miley said. "Demi [Lovato] was one of the first to respond. Hugh Jackman was also excited to donate something."

Britney Spears gave the custom made silver Versace dress she wore to the 2008 MTV VMAs and Nicole Richie donated jewelry from her line House of Harlow. "I texted Nicole and right away she sent over some amazing jewelry and Joel [Madden] sent some of his clothes," Miley said.

All the proceeds from the auction will go to the American Red Cross to support the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

"I want to get people involved and show that even the little things you can do can make a difference," Miley said.

Nicole Richie Thinks of Joel Madden as her Husband

Nicole Richie appeared in court on Monday to get a restraining order against the paparazzi that caused her car accident last month. During the court proceedings Richie's lawyer referred to Joel Madden as Richie's husband and she did not correct him.

"A few of the paparazzi had become more aggressive...trying to get in front of me, trying to get beside me, ran a red light," Richie said during her testimony. "I was hysterically crying."

Her lawyer Mark Geragos asked, "Did you call your husband?" and Richie replied with "yes."

Richie and Madden are not actually married, but the two have been together for several years and have two children, Harlow and Sparrow.

The accused paparazzi were ordered to stay 50 yards away from Richie and her two children until 2012. The restraining order does not cover Madden since he and Richie are not married.

Nicole Richie Receives Restraining Order

Nicole Richie has received a temporary restraining order against two paparazzi, Eduardo Arrivebene and Ivon Miguel. According to Richie, these men harass her "on a daily basis."

Richie, whose life has been documented by paparazzi cameras, is concerned for her own welfare and the welfare of her two young children, Harlow (21 months) and Sparrow (6 weeks). Arrivebene was driving when he and Miguel crashed into Richie's car and caused her "severe emotional distress." In a statement to the court, Richie claimed that the two photographers would "scream at me in an attempt to get my reaction, scare me, follow me, chase me in their vehicle."

Nicole Richie, who dates Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, was granted a temporary restraining order against both men on October 30th. Further court proceedings will continue in upcoming weeks.

Nicole Richie threw a huge 30th birthday party for her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden this week.

The socialite held the bash on the private terrace of the Sunset Tower hotel in Hollywood. She invited around 35 of their friends to celebrate with Joel - who reached the landmark age on March 11.

An onlooker said: "There was a lot of laughing and even some speeches. Nicole and Joel were nestled in the centre of the big group and looked as happy as they could be to be celebrating with their friends. They were beaming in the soft terrace lighting."

The highlight of the evening was when Joel was presented with a huge birthday cake, accompanied by a rousing rendition of 'Happy Birthday'.

The source added: "It was so big I'm surprised it didn't set off the fire alarms."

Although they were not members iof the party group, Sharon Stone and Drew Barrymore were both spotted dining at the Sunset Tower on the same night.

Nicole, 27, and Joel recently announced they are expecting their second child together. They already have a 14-month-old daughter Harlow.

The couple - who welcomed Harlow into the world on January 11 2008 - are reportedly keen to tie the knot on the landmark date to show their child how much they love each other.

A friend of the pair said: "They want to set an example for Harlow. Nicole and Joel are doing this to seal their love legally. They want the ceremony to coincide with Harlow's first birthday and be one big joyous occasion for everybody."

Socialite Nicole - whose adoptive father is singer Lionel Richie -and Good Charlotte rocker Joel are planning to sell pictures of the ceremony to a magazine.

However, the kind-hearted couple intend to donate any money they make from their special day to charity.

The pal added: "They've spoke about giving any money they get for photos of their wedding to Beyond Shelter, a homeless charity in Los Angeles that they work with. They also plan to give any presents away as well."

Nicole was recently reported to have been inspired to adopt a child after spending time with homeless children through her work with Beyond Shelter.

A source close to Nicole said: "Nicole is seriously looking into it and asking a lot of questions about adopting."Nicole has been visiting Beyond Shelter in Los Angeles two or three times a week and spends a couple of hours with homeless children. She loves being around them."

Last month Nicole, 26, was rumoured to have fallen out with the 29-year-old Good Charlotte rocker after she saw pictures of Mary-Kate Olsen, 22, on his tour bus.

No wedding for Joel & Nicole

Joel Madden recently told People that he and girlfriend Nicole Richie have no plans to get married.

We don't have any plans for that right now," Madden said. "We're just happy, and we're being a family, and that's where we're at right now. But marriage means something different to everyone."

The Good Charlotte frontman said he and Richie are concentrating on their new daughter for the moment.

"Right now we're really happy and we're concentrating on our family, and that's what is making us happy right now," he said. "We're moving at our own pace."

Nicole & Joel did not get married

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden did not get hitched this weekend, despite Madden's blog post that suggested otherwise.

The Good Charlotte singer wrote online, "We Did It! Nicole and I Finally Got Married!!" He even included some doctored wedding photos of the couple.

He then wrote that it was just a joke, in response to a Star magazine story that the two were having a $2 million wedding.

"I feel really stupid even posting this, but I've been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren't invited to my wedding," Madden wrote. "I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn't know we were having one.

"Sooooo if you were pissed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, don't blame me, there's nothing to worry about," he added. "It's just Star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? I give them a week or two..."

Joel Madden has a favorite female, and it’s not Nicole Richie. The twenty-nine-year-old Good Charlotte front man’s heart has been stolen by his three-month-old daughter Harlow Winter.

In a concert in New York last Wednesday, People Reports that’s Madden made the following announcement to the crowd:

“You know, no matter how many beautiful girls there are in this audience, I must confess that three months ago, I had a little baby girl, and she’s my one and only true love,”

She’s already growing to fast! So I am at home writing this blog before i head to the DCMA store, and then the DEAD EXEC studio to work. I swear it’s so hard to leave during the day, but always so rewarding to come home to the little family. I’ve always been a guy who loves to love.Probably one of the things that define me outside of my work is LOVE. I had no idea what love even was until Harlow came along.

Me and her mother feel like the luckiest two people alive right now. This time in our life has been amazing. We both look at our little girl every single moment everyday and know there is nothing we wouldn’t do to protect her and her perfect little innocence. It seems like you turn on the tv, or get online and its all bad news.

We dont want her to know any of that yet. I actually never want her to know any of the pain and suffering we see out in the world everyday, or how harsh people can be as a result of it. Having this baby has really made me realize we all start out that way, then somewhere along the way something happens and people go one way or the other. But all started out sweet and innocent just like my little daughter. The world could really make you bitter if you let it, but thats where music, and art come in to save the day.

You’ve got to surround yourself with the things you love. The whole point to DCMA and this site is a bunch of us friends doing what we love, surrounding ourselves with positivity. I want my kid to grow up around that.

My heart goes out to Heath ledger’s family. Too young. too soon. too loved to be gone. It almost seems pointless to say this with the state of the media today, but i hope people will respect what his child and her mother are going thru right now and give them space. May God be with them.

So this one was especially long today on the writing side, i apologize it all just got me thinking."

Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman welcomed their first child on Saturday evening.

"Christina and Jordan are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy!" a representative told People. "Mom is resting and doing well!"

Although some media reported that Aguilera had the baby on Friday, the 8 lbs., 2 oz. and 20.5 inches boy was born at 10:05 p.m. on Saturday in Los Angeles - just a day after Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcomed their daughter.
Richie gave birth to 6 lbs. 7 oz. Harlow Winter Kate Madden at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday.

"We are very blessed she's healthy and beautiful and so good already," Madden told People. "We are very happy."

Lepaparazzi News Update: Is Nicole Richie Engaged?

Pregnant socialite Nicole Richie agreed to marry boyfriend Joel Madden on Thursday, a U.S. radio DJ reports. Hot 99.5 morning show host Kane made the announcement at a Friday party in Virginia, where Madden performed with his band Good Charlotte.

Following the set, Kane told guests, "He got engaged yesterday. Congratulations, Joel!"

And despite receiving no reaction from Madden, the DJ is sticking to his story, telling People.com, he offered his congratulations to the rocker earlier in the night and "He said, 'Thank you so much.'"

Kane adds, "They're very excited about the baby and the wedding. They want to keep their personal life personal."

It seems the secret is already out though - while quizzing Madden about his relationship with Richie on his show on Thursday, U.S. TV personality Regis Philbin asked, "You're going to present her, maybe, with... A little ring, or something?"

A shocked Madden replied, "I was hoping it would be a surprise, but now..."

Richie is four and a half months pregnant with her first child with Madden.
