Jennifer Garner To Star In Young Reboot

This beloved classic is getting a facelift. Quite literally.

Disney has closed a deal for a big screen reboot of Agatha Christie's "Miss Marple" mystery novel series, and the House of Mouse is making substantial changes to the story. Deadline reports that, instead of the British grandma Jane Marple portrayed in the books and in previous big screen incarnations, the film series will instead feature a young, far more svelte amateur sleuth, to be played by Jennifer Garner.

Garner, of course, has plenty of screen experience when it comes to solving mysteries, starring in the longrunning TV spy show, "Alias." This will be a bit different; the novels, 12 in all, were written from the 1930-70's. Whether the films will stay in that considerable span of time, or be brought up to date has yet to be announced.

Marple has been played by a number of notable actors, both on TV and the big screen. The first films starred Margaret Rutherford, while Angela Landsbury took on the role in the star-studded "The Mirror Crack'd," which included Tony Curtis and Elizabeth Taylor.

Jen & Ben Have Second Baby!

Congrats! Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have welcomed their second daughter into the world! It's about time, it felt like Garner had been pregnant for 12 months! The actress's rep says: "Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl." The baby was born Tuesday in Los Angeles.

No other details were immediately available. Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to daughter Violet, 3. No word yet on the name of the baby! We bet this little girl will be just as cute as Violet, who constantly had us "aww-ing," and "ahhh-ing," at her adorable dimples and outfits!

Jennifer Garner: Get's restraining order against stalker

Jennifer Garner has won a restraining order against a man she says has been stalking her since 2002.

A judge has ruled that Steven Burky, 36, must stay at least 100ft from the pregnant actress, 36.

It also covers her husband Ben Affleck, 36, and their two-year-old daughter, Violet.

The order will expire in 2011.

Violet Affleck: Future Supermodel?

A natural looking Jennifer Garner carried her daughter, Violet Affleck, through LAX airport today. The 36-year-old expectant actress will soon delivery baby #2. How exciting! We're sure this baby is going to be JUST as cute as Violet here, she definitely wins our award for cute toddler of the day! She seems to be fairly comfortable around the cameramen snapping her picture. This child is way too good-looking!

Garner recently won a restraining order against a man she claims has been stalking her for years. Phew, that's scary!

What's hubby Ben Affleck been up to these days? He's been flying low on the celebrity radar. Well, he hasn't made a movie lately but that doesn't mean he's not doing some amazing things! Affleck is talking to children and aid officials in refugee camps in war-torn eastern Congo in an effort to raise awareness of the conflict that has displaced nearly 300,000 people. How noble, we're loving it!

Oops! Violet Afflect Has Playground Accident!

Violet Afflect and her mom/actress Jennifer Garner played yesterday afternoon at Palisades Park, CA.

The 2 1/2-year-old cutie was seen crying in mom-to-be Garner’s arms, but then composed herself and started smiling again! Looks like she had a little playground tumble! The mother-daughter duo then walked around the park with a basketball in-tow. They are so cute. Garner is pregnant with her second child which press reports are saying may be a boy this time around!

Finally A Confirmation!

We guess that Jennifer Garner finally got tired of holding Violet (and anything else) to conceal her ever growing baby belly, because she and hubby FINALLY confirmed to Access Hollywood that they are expecting baby number 2. No surprise here... we've known this for weeks. The new baby will join Violet 2 and will due later this year.

Jennifer says she is prepared for the new baby all thanks to Violet. What a cutie.... Congrats!!

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck buy 8m house

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have forked out 8million for a bigger house ahead of the birth of their second baby.

The couple, who are yet to officially announce Jen's pregnancy, have bought a 7-bedroom mansion in Brentwood, LA.

The property sits in an acre of land and has a three-car garage, barbeque area, wine cellar and pool.

It is thought the transaction will be complete in time for the arrival of the baby in December.

Last month, Ben's pal, director Kevin Smith, confirmed the couple are expecting.

‘[Ben] came over last week and told me, “I'm having another baby!"’ he told Us Weekly. 'He's a good dad.’

Jennifer, 36, and Ben, 35, are already parents to daughter, Violet, 2.

Their new neighbours include American chat show host Rikki Lake and actor Tobey Maguire.

Jennifer Garner Is Pregnant

Jennifer Garner better not share any more secrets with her buddies.

The actress’ former Alias co-star Victor Garber told Us magazine that Garner and husband Ben Affleck are expecting their second baby.

Garber was proud to be the bearer of good news.

“Yes, she is,” Garber, who currently stars on ABC’s Eli Stone, told the magazine when asked if recent speculation that the couple is expecting is true.

Garber, a good friend of Garner’s, officiated the couple’s 2005 wedding.

An insider told the magazine that the actress is five months pregnant.

Garner admitted in October that she ponders having a second child.

She told Britain’s Marie Claire, “We definitely wonder what it would be like to have another—hopefully, knock on wood, someday. My job is great to have as a mom. I get to take breaks and then work in a really concentrated way. During that concentrated time, it sucks, but whatever.”

Garner, 36, and Affleck, 35, are parents to daughter Violet, 2.

The couple’s reps did not immediately return our calls for comment.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck Are Expecting 2nd Baby!

We were calling it a rumor at the beginning of the week. However, Hollywood couple Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are indeed expecting a second child! The actress' good friend and Alias costar Victor Garber, who also was the minister and officiated over her island wedding, confirmed the news on Tuesday.

"Yes, she is," Garber says, when asked about a possible second pregnancy. Garner is about 5 monhts pregnant, says Internet reports. PCM is so happy for the couple, we those those two! Violet, their daughter, also makes our PCM most fashionable babies list, too!

They may have found a new house according to the news reports today, the house is a $20 million dollar Bel Air mansion that used to be owned by Meg Ryan and the Beckhams almost bought last year. The house comes complete with swimming pool, game room, sauna, private gym and, of course, has crazy security surveillance systems which includes an 11-foot fence. Gotta keep out those papz and stalker fans away from the Affleck-Garner residence!

The ALA’s National Faces of Influenza

Hollywood stars like Jennifer Garner and Dean Cain joined together in support of the public awareness campaign launched in NYC's Gotham Hall on Monday. The purpose of the campaign is to encourage people to get the flu shot! That doesn't seem too hard, but Americans do need help to put a “face” on this serious disease and recognize annual immunization as a safe and effective way to protect themselves and their families against influenza.

Lepaparazzi News Update: Jennifer Garner tells TV show how diamond ring fell into the Drain

NEW YORK (AP) — Jennifer Garner revealed a secret Wednesday that she'd been keeping from Ben Affleck: She nearly lost a ring he had given her after the birth of their 1-year-old daughter, Violet.

Garner, who stars in Columbia Pictures' "Catch and Release," said the mishap occurred while she was primping for the movie's premiere.

"He gave me this beautiful diamond ring and I was playing with it and ... it fell off. And it fell under this ice maker in the house — he (Affleck) hasn't even heard of this yet — and ... it fell into the drain under this ice maker," the 34-year-old actress said on "Live With Regis and Kelly."

"And the plumber had to come and dismantle the thing from under the house. And he found it," she said, holding up her hand to flash the sparkler.

"And Ben hasn't even heard that," said co-host Regis Philbin.

"I should have warned him," Garner replied.

Garner and Affleck, 34, were married in June 2005. Violet was born later that year.

"Catch and Release" opens Friday.
