Saturdays star Mollie King looks great in her birthday outfit, but bandmate Frankie steals the show in a see-through number

By Daily Mail Reporter

Opposite ends of the spectrum: Mollie King kept it demure in her chic white number while Frankie Sandford maybe should have a little more covered up

Mollie King was joined by some of her popstar friends as she celebrated her birthday last night.

She took a large group of friends, including her Saturdays bandmates and members of boyband JLS, to Mahiki in Mayfair, London.

The birthday girl, who turned 24, looked great in a classy white number but it was bandmate Frankie Sandford who stood out like a sore thumb in a revealing black number.

Bottoms up: Frankie's male friend can't help but stare at her behind as they leave Mayfair nightspot Mahiki

The 22-year-old turned up in a see-through dress which made her underwear clearly visible to anyone who passed a glimpse at her - including a male companion who couldn't help but stare at her rear.

She completed the outfit with a matching pair of black ankle boots.

While Mollie sported a white dress with ruffled detail on the lower half, hemmed in with a metallic gold belt and accessorised with a pair of tan coloured peep toe heels.

Celebrations: The Saturdays singer was joined by friends and bandmates for the party which took place at Mahiki

Saturdays night out: Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White make their way out of Mahiki in Mayfair following Mollie King's birthday get together

With the two ladies juxtaposed with another Mollie was the clear winner in the fashion stakes, looking demure and classy in comparison with her bandmate who perhaps should have covered up a little.

The Saturdays singer turned 24 yesterday and hit London club Mahiki with bandmates Rochelle Wiseman, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White.

Rochelle, 22, wore a figure-hugging black dress with black piping and Vanessa opted for a grey number.

Let's hear it for the boys: Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold were also in attendance for Mollie's birthday

Three's a crowd?: Marvin leaves the Mayfair club hand in hand with Rochelle and her bandmate Vanessa

JLS members Aston Merrygold and Rochelle's boyfriend Marvin Humes, were also on hand to make sure celebrations went with a bang.

Rochelle held hands with her boyfriend as they exited Mahiki, in Mayfair, central London.

The two split late last year, but got back together and appear to be stronger than ever now they have reconciled.

The only member of The Saturdays missing from the equation was Una Healy, who had to miss out on the evening's events due to a wedding.

On her way out: Mollie and her friends are pictured leaving the May Fair Hotel en route to Mahiki round the corner

She did however treat her bandmate to a pair of beige coloured heels, and also tweeted an apology.

Obviously over the moon with her gift, Mollie tweeted a picture of the platform heels with the caption: 'I've just received the most amazing birthday present from @unahealy!!!! I'm a very lucky girl x'

On Friday the girls were pictured leaving a London studio after a gruelling 20-hour photo session for their 2012 calendar.

Overdone?: Frankie says her terracotta complexion is down to her recent holiday and not fake tan

Frankie's dayglo tan became a talking point as she left the studio appearing to be a bright shade of orange.

The singer later took to her Twitter account to argue that she simply had a very deep holiday tan and it was not fake.

A few weeks ago Mollie went public with her new beau David Gandy at the British Heart Foundation 'Tunnel of Love' party..

Mollie and her Essex-born beau - now one of the highest-paid models in the country - met at a party in March, and have been quietly dating ever since.

The singer split from ex-boyfriend Andy Brown earlier this year.

Gandy, who became a household name for the Dolce & Gabbana advertisement showing him in a tiny pair of white pants, has been linked with Lily Cole and Lindsay Lohan.

Are TOWIE'S Sam and Joey Essex engaged? Miss Faiers shows off diamond ring while Maria Fowler drinks vodka straight from the bottle

By Daily Mail Reporter

Party girls: Maria Fowler (left) drinks Grey Goose vodka straight out of the bottle at Nu Bar, which Sam Faiers showed off a diamond ring on her wedding finger

They might have ended their holiday in Marbella last week, but Maria Fowler and Samantha Faiers weren’t about to end the party once arriving back in Essex.

The Only Way Is Essex star Maria Fowler was spotted drinking Grey Goose vodka straight out of the bottle last night, while Miss Faiers was showing off a ring on her wedding finger.

Maria stumbled out of Nu Bar looking worse for wear at 2am before hitting the ground, while Sam dined with Joey Essex for a romantic date.

The 24-year-old reality TV star was falling over in her aqua blue dress by the end of the night and had to be helped up the stairs to leave the club by her male friend.

Maria initially walked out of the bar hand in hand with Ben Nathan, after encouraging him to drink straight from the vodka bottle too.

But when she walked up a staircase, Maria soon took a drunken tumble and was helped up by a mystery man.

While she was out last night, Maria wrote on her Twitter page: ‘Getting hammered in nubar.’

Can't stand up: The 24-year-old reality TV star was tumbling over after drinking too much vodka on her night out, a mystery man helped her out

Worse for wear: Maria Fowler needed to be escorted out of the club by a mystery man after partying with a friend earlier on in the night, thought to be her pal Ben Nathan (right)

And this morning tweeted: ‘Partying over. Being packed off to bootcamp for a week.’

After partying in the Spanish island last week, Maria had declared that she would book herself into boot camp once arriving home.

She wanted get into shape after too much drinking and eating unhealthy foods since the ITV series finished its second season.

Meanwhile, Sam and Joey, both 20, had dinner at The Brickyard Bar and Grill in Romford, Essex, and Sam shocked onlookers by wearing a ring on her wedding finger.

On to the wine: Maria then grabbed two bottles of wine and started drinking from the bottle again

Irresponsible drinking: Maria was given vodka from the bottle from a blonde girl friend she was out with at the bar

She couldn’t wipe the grin off her face as she held her hand out, boasting a little diamond ring on her left hand.

But her new accessory raised the question over whether Joey Essex has proposed to his girlfriend of only a few months.

Miss Faiers later confirmed that she is not engaged but it is merely a promise ring instead.

But she looked very much in love as she strolled around with Joey in a gorgeous strapless dress.

In love: Joey Essec and Sam Faiers had dinner at The Brickyard Bar and Grill in Romford, Essex, and looked more in love than ever

Showing off: Sam wore the diamond ring on her wedding finger, sparking speculation she's engaged to boyfriend Joey

Kate sparkled, William and Harry looked so dapper - pity about the race!

By SARAH OLIVER

Royal occasion: The Queen with The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice in the parade ring before the start of the Investec Derby

It was, in the end, the greatest show on turf.

Not the Derby, the classic flat race which is one of the highlights of the equestrian calendar, but the joyous family day out enjoyed very publicly by the Queen at Epsom Racecourse yesterday.

The biggest gathering of the Royal Family since the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rendered the disappointing third-place finish of her much-fancied colt Carlton House almost trifling.

Come on, Carlton House!: Kate and Wills and the Royal party watch the Queen's horse at the Epson Derby 2011

Young royals: Princes William and Harry, dressed to the nines in their suits arrive at the Epsom Derby, with Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge at their side. Always the joker, Harry performs one of his silly walks

Family affair: They made their way to the royal enclosure to show support for the Queen's horse, Carlton House

Pink lady: The Queen arrives at the Epsom Derby in high spirits - and in a bright outfit - to cheer on her horse, which unfortunately did not win.

Kate dazzled in a collarless off-white jacket over a diaphanous white frock which showcased long legs shod in this season’s nude platform shoes.

On her head she wore a Forties-style cappuccino-coloured hat with her hair rolled tightly to the nape of her neck.

She was on the arm of her husband Prince William, resplendent in top hat and tails, accompanied by a similarly-clad Prince Harry.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, kept things simple, in a stylish off-white outfit with a nude-coloured fascinator

Relatively sane: Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice both made a reasonable recovery after the fashion disasters at the Royal Wedding

Deep in thought: William and Kate chat to a friend while the Queen watches the track, clutching her race programme

Hats off to them: The princes minus their top hats, with Kate

Come on! Eugenie and Harry shout some encouragement during the race

Their appearance alongside Prince Andrew with his daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Alexandra and Prince Philip at a private rather than a public occasion, underlined the astonishing sense of renewal within the Firm.

(Curiously, Kate’s mother Carole Middleton, a member of a racing syndicate, also had a horse running yesterday. It said much about the ease with which Kate has joined the Firm that she carried out her role with such aplomb while her mum mingled with the crowd.)

But if it was a regally united front, it was also a charmingly relaxed one.

Stylish: Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice look chic and summery in their outfits for the racing event - a far cry from the dresses they wore for their cousin's wedding

Nail-biting: The Queen looks as though her mind might be on her horse's performance as grandson Harry looks on in the background

A right royal gathering: The Queen enjoys her family's company at Epsom

From the moment the Queen stepped from her Rolls-Royce to the strains of the National Anthem played by the Central Band of the RAF at 1pm, she appeared at her ease.

At 3.30pm she strode across to the parade ground to see Carlton House, named after a historic London Royal residence, being walked around the ring by his stable girl.

She laughed and chatted with other owners, her mood doubtless reflecting the fact that her horse had been declared 5-2 favourite by the bookies.

By 4pm, it seemed that more eyes were on the Royal Box, garlanded in Her Majesty’s racing colours of red, purple and gold, than were watching her longstanding jockey Ryan Moore as he entered the stalls.

Mum's the word: Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, was also at Epsom today. Right, the young royals enjoying the racing action

Horses for courses: Mickael Barzalona riding Pour Moi (second left, blue) challenges wide and late to win the Investec Derby. The Queen's horse Carlton House is fourth from left (jockey in red and purple top) - and finished third

Champion: Jockey Mickael Barzalona celebrates winning the Investec Derby on Pour Moi

Great white: Kate dazzled the crowd in a white dress while Princess Beatrice keeps hold of her hair

The 120,000-strong crowd, excitement and anticipation rising as the late-afternoon sun warmed the Epsom Downs, did a poor job of disguising their partisan support.

But if they’d hoped to see the Queen biting her nails, they were disappointed for she remained to the rear of the Royal Balcony, perhaps unable to watch the running of the one-and-a-half-mile course with its tortuous inclines and deceptive cambers.

To the fore, Sophie Wessex covered her eyes with her hands as Prince Harry punched the air and Beatrice and Eugenie hopped with excitement.

Dazzling: Newlywed Kate, still tanned from her recent honeymoon, smiles broadly while Eugenie watches the fourth race at Epsom

Fun day out: Kate and Eugenie share a joke at the races

This sporting life: The royals, including Prince Andrew (right) gather to watch the horses in action

Glowing: Sophie, Duchess of Wessex looked smart in a champagne silk skirt suit and large feathered hat

Rehabilitated Royals: After THAT wedding fashion debacle, Beatrice and Eugenie pick winners at Epsom

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Picked winners: The Princesses of York, Eugenie (L) and Beatrice (R) stood out for the right reasons at Epsom

The Queen's horse may not have taken first place at Epsom but her nieces Beatrice and Eugenie certainly picked winners on Derby day.

Following the infamous 'Pretzel-gate' fascinator debacle at the Royal Wedding, the two young Princesses turned heads for all the right reasons on a day when everyone was dressed to the nines.

Kate - as expected - dazzled in a collarless off-white jacket over a diaphanous white frock which showcased long legs shod in this season’s nude platform shoes.

Hold on to that hat! Eugenie keeps a careful hand on the brim of her headware

On her head she wore a Forties-style cappuccino-coloured hat with her hair rolled tightly to the nape of her neck.

But there was no repeat of the wedding fiasco for Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, who looked chic and summery in their outfits on the Royal Balcony.

Eugenie wore a classic-looking white dress with black polka dots, topped off with a wide-brimmed white hat with black rim.

Hats better! The girls looked radiant in their milinery

Concentrate: The Princesses join their father Prince Andrew in the Royal box

Beatrice opted for an eye-catching floral-print dress with a white rose-style fascinator.

This big day in the sport of Kings has been historically unlucky for the Queen and once again she had to be satisfied with third place as her much-fancied colt Carlton House couldn't quite come up to the big occasion.

But the classic flat race, one of the highlights of the equestrian calendar, proved to be a joyous family day out and the biggest gathering of the Royal Family since the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Cheryl Cole's American dream back on? Singer 'invited to rejoin X Factor USA'

By LARA GOULD

Friends again? Simon Cowell has managed to convince Fox executives Cheryl Cole is right for X Factor USA

Cheryl Cole was offered her job back on the X Factor USA last night – less than two weeks after being axed from the show.

The 27-year-old Girls Aloud singer and former judge on the British series was dropped amid claims that viewers couldn’t understand her Geordie accent and criticism of her performance on the panel.

But in a shock U-turn, Fox Television executives have given her a second chance after a personal intervention by X Factor supremo Simon Cowell.

Last night it remained unclear whether she would accept the offer, with a source saying: ‘The ball is in her court.’

The US network and Cowell have been criticised after it emerged Fox’s President of Alternative Entertainment, Mike Darnell – dubbed

the Rumpelstiltskin of Reality TV because of his 5ft 2in height – ordered Miss Cole off the show after he watched footage of her on the panel last month.

Significantly, since then, neither Fox nor Cowell’s representatives have released a statement confirming that Miss Cole had been sacked.

If Miss Cole – who has not been seen in public since she was axed from the show – decides to accept the offer, she could be back on the panel when auditions resume in New Jersey this week.

Back in the line-up? Cole with X Factor USA judges Antonio 'L.A.' Reid, Paula Abdul and Cowell and co-hosts Steve Jones and Nicole Scherzinger

If she agrees to the move, it would see Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger – who was given Cheryl’s place on the panel after her sudden exit – relegated to her original role as co-host with British TV pre¬senter Steve Jones.

But there was speculation the offer could be a plot by the American TV network to stave off any legal claim that Miss Cole could make for compensation against her sacking.

She was expected to receive a £1.2million payout in compensation despite filming only four episodes of the £100million series. However, if she then chooses not to accept Fox’s offer, it could reduce any payment the network would have to pay out.

Last night a spokesman for Miss Cole did not return calls.

A judge or co-host? Cheryl's return will mean Scherzinger - who performed on Britain's Got Talent last night - will revert to presenting

Miss Cole, one of four judges on the panel alongside Cowell, Paula Abdul and record producer L. A. Reid, flew back to Britain two weeks ago.

No official explanation has yet emerged as to why Miss Cole was dropped and sources close to her said she was not told why.

However, Fox executives were said to have complained about the ‘lack of chemistry’ between her and fellow judge Miss Abdul and concerns were raised about Miss Cole’s accent.

She was also criticised for her fashion sense and hairstyle after she arrived for her first day on the panel in purple trousers, an orange top and a backcombed hairstyle which Simon Cowell later said looked as if it was created in a wind tunnel.

Last week, British television executives gave Miss Cole the chance to resume her place on the ITV show – but she declined their offer after failing to respond to a deadline set for midnight last Saturday.

A source close to Cowell said last night: ‘Simon is staying out of this now. He has offered an olive branch but he is leaving the decisions up to Fox and Freemantle, the production company.

New panel: Louis Walsh is joined by Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow at the Birmingham auditions of X Factor last week

‘Cheryl was offered the UK show because it was thought that would have made her happier. He just wants whatever is best for Cheryl.’

Her U.S. manager, Black Eyed Peas rapper Will.i.am said last week: 'Cheryl always comes back stronger, and she always comes back bigger. Cheryl has been through rougher things than this, so this is going to be no problem for her.

'It's easy to imagine Simon as this one-man empire, but that's not the case.

'He has people he needs to answer to and sometimes his hands are tied. I can only tell you what I've seen first-hand, that's a guy who deeply cares for her.'

The latest development comes just a few days after it was confirmed Mrs Cole would not be returning to the original UK X Factor.

Instead Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland joined the only remaining judge Louis Walsh on the panel at the Birmingham auditions last week.

Walsh said he had spoken to Cole and she was doing 'fine'.

He said: 'I talked to Cheryl today - we’ve been texting all day and we’re having fun. I think she’s going to be fine.

'Listen, from her texts today she’s absolutely fine.'

Shedding for the wedding! Jessica Simpson shows off her slimmed down body in a pair of Daisy Dukes

By Daily Mail Reporter

Shedding: Jessica Simpson showed off her slimmed down legs in a pair of Daisy Dukes while going for an evening out in New York with fiancé Eric Johnson

Like any bride preparing for their wedding day, Jessica Simpson had vowed to get into shape.

And she showed off her progress yesterday by fitting into a tiny pair of Daisy Dukes.

The 30-year-old left her hotel in New York with her fiancé Eric Johnson and looked happy and glowing.

Jessica paired the denim shorts with a white shirts and cream blazer for romantic evening out.

She accessorised with light brown wedge sandals and a large matching bag that had a red bottom.

The pair headed off to a restaurant in nearby New Haven, Connecticut and looked very much in love as they held hands.

Bride to be: The 30-year-old singer turned fashion mogul is preparing to tie the knot later this year

Johnson was more dressed down and was casual in jeans and a chequered shirt.

Jessica has been the subject of cruel taunts about her weight over the years but she set her mind to losing some pounds before walking down the aisle.

She enlisted the help of celebrity trainer Tracy Andeson earlier this year and has been working out four times a week for 75 minutes at a time.

And Jessica is clearly so pleased with the results that she's invested in a whole wardrobe of shorts to show off those pins.

The blonde donned an even tighter red pair today when she joined Jessica Alba for a tour of the Yale campus.

The pair were there to support their partners, who are both celebrating their ten year reunion at the Ivy League institution.

Moving on: The NFL player proposed to Jessica in November last year - her ex Tony Romo got married last week and her ex-husband Nick Lachey is set to tie the knot soon

Very significant others: Simpson enjoys a tour of the Yale campus with Jessica Alba today

Anderson told Us Weekly: 'She wants to look healthy.'

Jessica's fiancé proposed to her in November and the pair are planning to walk down the aisle later this year - it will be her second marriage.

Meanwhile, Jessica has become a stepmother to Johsnon's Airedale terrier, Bentley.

When he moved into Jessica's home he brought the pet pooch that had belonged to him and his ex-wife Keri.

Progress: Jessica is not quite where she was when she filmed Dukes of Hazzard in 2005 but she's getting there

The couple split in 2009 after five years of marriage and Johnson got to keep the dog.

Jessica had lost her Maltipoo, Daisy back in September 2009 when a coyote attacked it. She was a gift from her ex-husband Nick Lachey.

The singer turned fashion mogul has already built a clothing empire worth nearly $1billion.

She has now teamed up with her younger sister Ashlee to launch a new line for girls aged between seven and 16 that will include sportswear, denim and activewear.

Adding to clothing empire: Jessica has teamed up with her younger sister Ashlee to launch a new line for tween girls

The line, which will fall under the Jessica Simpson Collection umbrella, will hit stores in the fall.

Simpson told WWD: 'Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand.

'I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens.'

Jessica is soon set to tie the knot but her two former partners may beat her to the alter.

Tony Romo got married last weekend to Gossip Girl Chase Crawford's sister Candice.

Lachey is set to marry fiancee Vanessa Minillo, 30, soon. They celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a bridal shower this week at the London West Hollywood hotel in Los Angeles.
