Heidi Klum Designs for Busy Mothers

Model and Project Runway star Heidi Klum has designed a new clothing collection for mothers. Klum is the mother of four with husband Seal, and she says she created the line to fill a niche in the fashion industry for mothersw who want to look great and remain comfortable. For the line, she collaborated with athletic shoe company New Balance.

Klum told popeater.com that moms have to play many roles, and interact with numerous people during a normal day, "and you don't really want to do that in nasty sweatpants." Her goal with this line of ladies fashion is to provide a look "that is cooler, that is active, that is stylish."

Heidi Klum is Struggling to Lose her Baby Weight

German supermodel Heidi Klum – who gave birth to daughter Lou last month – admits it is more of a struggle this time around to get back into shape than it was after having her other children, Leni, five, Henri, four, and Johan, three.

“I wouldn’t say I’m back in shape yet," she said. "Everything changes when you get older. It was different when I was 31 with the first one and now being 36 with the fourth one.”

She is spending time on the treadmill and eating sensibly to try and get back in shape as she fears she will remain bigger forever if she doesn’t work on it now.

“I think that if you wait too long and it sticks there it stays that way forever," she said. "I have to be motivated.”

Meanwhile, her husband Seal has also spoken out about the family, admitting he was initially unsure of how having another baby would affect their lives.

“It’s a funny thing, having another child, because you have three kids who you love dearly and you think to yourself how could you possibly find any more love to give anyone else?” he told Celebrity Baby Blog.

“The first time you hold your baby in your arms there is this overwhelming sense of otherworldliness that is very, very difficult to describe.”

Seal and Heidi are exhausted from looking after their newborn – but agree it’s worth it.

“Sleep deprivation is kind of pretty much neutralised by what I call the amnesia gene," Seal added. "They look at you and you forget that when you have more kids.”

It's a Girl for Heidi Klum and Seal

German supermodel Heidi Klum and her musician husband Seal welcomed daughter Lou Sulola Samuel into the world on Friday (10-09-09).

Seal said in a statement: “It's difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children," Seal said in a statement. "Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another?"

“On Friday, October 9, 2009 at 7.46pm, the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter. Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes it was endless love at first sight. She is beautiful beyond words and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years.”

The couple's new baby joins sons Henry, four, and two-year-old Johan together, while Heidi has five-year-old daughter Leni from a previous relationship.

The model recently revealed her stomach got so big towards the end of the pregnancy that her other children thought it was a toy to jump on.

“I had to stop them jumping on my tummy," she said. "They don't really understand there is actually a real human being in there.”

Gearing up for a brand new season of her hit show, Heidi Klum was in fine form during a taping of “Germany’s Next Top Model” at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas on Saturday (January 24).

Watching contestants put on a catwalk show, Miss Klum joined co-hosts and fellow judges Rolf Scheider and Peyman Amin as she enthusiastically reacted to the contestant’s offerings.

Heidi Klum says being naked in front of her family is "not a big deal".

The stunning model - who posed wearing just underwear and a pair of wings for the recent Victoria's Secret fashion show - has no problem showing off her fabulous figure in front of her husband Seal and the three children they raise together.

She said: "To see me in wings is nothing too unusual. People are pretty open with their bodies in Germany and the children see you naked or in lingerie all the time so it's not a big deal for us.

"We don't hide inside a room somewhere and change - it's all very out in the open."

Heidi also revealed she not only has to maintain her slimline figure for work, but also to keep the romance alive in her marriage.

She added: "You have to work out to be sexy. People always ask me how I stay in shape and how do I do it and what really makes me do it is because I have a hot man waiting at home for me. So I don't want to be a slouch bag, I have to keep up appearances."

Stylish wife Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum says marriage has made her more stylish.

The German supermodel revealed tying the knot with British singer Seal inspired her to make more of an effort with her fashion choices.

She said: "I've gotten more stylish since I've been with my husband. I was always making fun of him because he has so many leather coats, jackets and shoes. But he looks hot. I want to look good for him. So I kind of stepped it up a bit."

Heidi, who wed Seal in 2005, insists the spark is still alive in her marriage and sometimes can't believe she has such a handsome husband.


The 35-year-old beauty explained: "Sometimes I lie in bed and I'm like, 'Oh my god, there's Seal lying next to me. What's he doing there?'

"I get a smile on my face immediately. Our honeymoon period is definitely not over."

The couple - who raise three children together - make sure they spend time together without their kids to keep their relationship exciting.

She added to America's InStyle magazine: "We have date nights. We go to dinner or to the movies. We like to keep it romantic. Some people wake up in the morning and turn over when they see their mate. That's not us."

They're showstoppers in their own right, and clad in the latest creations from upmarket American lingerie line Victoria's Secret Heidi Klum and Orlandom Bloom's girlfriend Miranda Kerr were inevitably going to cause a stir.

The luscious lovelies do just that in the skimpy ensembles they've been busy trying on in preparation for the underwear label's annual fashion show, which will also feature fellow 'angels' Marisa Miller, Alessandra Ambrosia and Adriana Lima.

Combining entertainment – this year provided by Usher – with model profiles, interviews and behind the scenes 'making of' footage, the show, which this year is taped in Miami, will bring a frisson to US pre-Christmas TV when it's broadcast on December 3.

Heidi Klum puts personal life before career

Heidi Klum may be busy with her presenting work and fashion line, but she says her family will always come before her work.

The mum-of-3, who is married to singer Seal, 45, says children are her main priority.

'I'm very busy but my husband and I always wanted a big family so that's No 1 for us,' she says.

Heidi, 35, feels so strongly about this that she has considered giving up work altogether.

'I always thought that if being a working mum caused problems for us as a family that I'd just not do it any more,' she says. 'But thankfully it doesn't.'

The supermodel has her own skincare range and 2 signature perfumes as well as presenting hit TV shows Project Runway and Germany's Next Top Model.

But rather than being overwhelmed by the workload, she says variety is the best thing about her job.

'I enjoy all the different sides of my career,' she tells Sunday Express magazine.

'If I had to do one thing every day it would be very boring.'

Heidi Klum's 'rug burn'

Heidi Klum says the unsightly grazes on her knees are down to "rug burn".

The Victoria's Secret model - who raises three children with her husband, British singer Seal - admits she incurred the marks on her legs, which she has insured for a staggering $2 million, while shooting a commercial.

She said: "My legs are not looking good right now. I wish my pants weren't so tight, I could show you. I have the worst rug burn, but not from the kind of rug burn you're thinking! I just did a commercial and was jumping off tables onto a rug."

Heidi also said the "other kind" of rug burn, which can occur during certain sexual acts, is not uncommon in her household.

She added to US TV show 'Extra': "I think Seal's hot and that's all there is to it. We have fun together!"

Heidi - who has previously dressed up as a cat and a snake for Halloween - recently revealed she is planning another unique creation to celebrate the spooky holiday (31.10.08).

She said: "I try to top myself every year with an outrageous outfit!"

The 35-year-old beauty said her children, Leni, Henry and Johan, have been busy creating their own costumes.

She added: "Leni will be a bumblebee and the boys are both going to be Superman. Johan is completely easy and he'll be anything. He doesn't care!"

Victoria's Secret hits small screen again

CBS has announced that it will air the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show again this fall.

The holiday-themed runway show will reportedly be held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach resort. The legendary resort has been undergoing a massive, $1 billion renovation, and the show will be part of a grand reopening.

Models confirmed for the show so far are Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller and Miranda Kerr. The show will also feature musical performances, although they have yet to be revealed.

Ratings have declined since ABC first aired the controversial show in 2001. CBS has telecast it since 2002, despite FCC complaints about the scantily-clad models.

SJP takes summer off, Heidi Klum on MC cover

Sarah Jessica Parker graces the cover of the next issue of Parade, and she revealed she's taking the entire summer off to spend time with her five-year-old son James Wilkie.

The entire family, which includes husband Matthew Broderick, will spend the summer at their beach house.

In other magazine cover news, Heidi Klum's face is splashed across the June issue of Marie Claire. Fashion Week Daily has reported that 'Project Runway' judge Nina Garcia is in discussions with Marie Claire, and that the magazine will take Elle's place as part of the prize for the winner of the reality show.

"We think 'Project Runway' is a fantastic show, but to speculate at this point beyond season five would be, as [season four winner] Christian Siriano says, 'A hot mess!'" a Marie Claire spokesperson said to WWD.

Marie Claire is owned by Hearst Magazines, whose parent company is a joint owner of Lifetime, the new 'Project Runway' network.

In the June issue, Klum discusses being a mother and other familial details.

"I look at some of my friends who have waited. Every year they say, 'Maybe in two years. Maybe next year,'" Klum said about her decision to have three children in just as many years. "A lot of them are a few years older than me, and now it's like, 'I can't get pregnant,' or there are problems in their relationships."

"Some people are afraid, especially in this industry, that if you are out of it, it'll be hard to get back in it. I didn't care," she added. "I thought, 'It's my life, not yours.' I was ready to take the chance and not get back into it if they decided they didn't want me anymore.

Forbes announces World's Top-Earning Models

Forbes.com has released the 2008 list of the World's Top-Earning Models. The fifteen models on the list were selected and ranked by estimated earnings over the last year, although when necessary, prestige and relevancy of campaigns, editorials, fashion magazine covers and the opinion of industry insiders were also taken into consideration.

Gisele Bündchen still has a monopoly on the number one spot, with an estimated $35 million in earnings.

The top 5 is as follows.

1. Gisele Bündchen ($35 million)
2. Heidi Klum ($14 million)
3. Kate Moss ($7.5 million)
4. Adriana Lima ($7 million)
5. Doutzen Kroes ($6 million)

Others on the list were Victoria's Secret angels Miranda Kerr and Selita Ebanks, at Nos. 10 and 12, respectively.

Nina Garcia leaves Elle

'Project Runway' judge Nina Garcia reportedly parted ways with Elle magazine where she worked as the fashion director since 2000.

Neither Garcia nor the magazine have commented, although conflicting reports have stated that Garcia was fired.

The news comes just days after the production company for 'Project Runway' announced the show was changing stations from Bravo TV to Lifetime.

Bravo and NBC Universal filed a breach of contract with Harvey and Bob Weinstein and their namesake company, which sold the series to Bravo in 2003. NBC Universal claimed they had rights to future seasons and claimed Weinstein Co. sealed a deal with Lifetime before allowing Bravo the chance to make a matching offer.

"NBC Universal regrettably had no alternative but to bring legal action to enforce its rights to this program," the corporation said in a 13-page lawsuit. They called Weinstein Co.'s five-year deal with Lifetime an "invalid agreement."

Weinstein Co. and Lifetime, meanwhile, also issued a statement declaring that NBC Universal "declin[ed] to compete for the right to have 'Project Runway.'"

"We believe this lawsuit is without merit," said David Boies, an attorney for the Weinstein Co., in a statement.

According to a Lifetime spokesperson, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are on board, but Nina Garcia and fellow judge Michael Kors have yet to sign contracts. In the Lifetime press release, Klum was quoted as saying "fashion is about change," and Gunn added "Lifetime and I will definitely 'make it work' together."
