Are You Ready For Runway?

16 new designers will be strutting their stuff as Project Runway returns for a fifth season on Bravo, tonight, July 16 @ 9PM ET/PT.

In what is sure to be the most talked-about season yet, some of the biggest names in movies, fashion, sports and music including Diane Von Furstenberg, Sandra Bernhard, Apolo Ohno, Brooke Shields, LL Cool J, RuPaul, Rachel Zoe, Cynthia Rowley and Francisco Costa will take to the panel as guest judges for season five of Runway.

Tim Gunn, mentor to the designers, will also be back as well as judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia.

Nina Garcia leaves Elle

'Project Runway' judge Nina Garcia reportedly parted ways with Elle magazine where she worked as the fashion director since 2000.

Neither Garcia nor the magazine have commented, although conflicting reports have stated that Garcia was fired.

The news comes just days after the production company for 'Project Runway' announced the show was changing stations from Bravo TV to Lifetime.

Bravo and NBC Universal filed a breach of contract with Harvey and Bob Weinstein and their namesake company, which sold the series to Bravo in 2003. NBC Universal claimed they had rights to future seasons and claimed Weinstein Co. sealed a deal with Lifetime before allowing Bravo the chance to make a matching offer.

"NBC Universal regrettably had no alternative but to bring legal action to enforce its rights to this program," the corporation said in a 13-page lawsuit. They called Weinstein Co.'s five-year deal with Lifetime an "invalid agreement."

Weinstein Co. and Lifetime, meanwhile, also issued a statement declaring that NBC Universal "declin[ed] to compete for the right to have 'Project Runway.'"

"We believe this lawsuit is without merit," said David Boies, an attorney for the Weinstein Co., in a statement.

According to a Lifetime spokesperson, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are on board, but Nina Garcia and fellow judge Michael Kors have yet to sign contracts. In the Lifetime press release, Klum was quoted as saying "fashion is about change," and Gunn added "Lifetime and I will definitely 'make it work' together."

Heidi Klum Undergoes Lawsuit

Project Runway host, Heidi Klum is getting sued by Van Cleef and Arepels for more than $25,000 in damages. The luxury jewelry company has accused thirty-four year old Klum of copying their custom made clover design for one of her jewelry lines.

In an interview with People, the company Klum designs for, Mouwad USA, defended the German supermodel by saying that clover, hearts, and crosses are "universal symbols and are commonly used in jewelry," They also pointed out that "The clover has always been in fashion, and you can see that many other luxury jewelry houses have their own interpretations of this wonderful shape such as Louis Vuitton and Chopard."

After checking out this picture of Heidi and her not-so-lucky charms, I'm not to sure they're worth the lawsuit.
