When someone has their prom approaching, they may be wondering what kind of fashion jewellery to wear. There are many different ways to wear jewels on the body and some may look more flattering with certain dress options. Finding out what style of dress is going to be worn, may help someone plan out their neck, arm and ring coverings.

Certain necklaces will go with particular style of dresses. A garment with no sleeves or straps may look great with a short necklace around the neck. The item may feature a plain chain or offer a chain with a short pendant. This style looks great with a strapless dress. A long chain with a pendant that hangs over the chest is also a popular choice.

Both styles of necklaces will look ideal with any kind of strapless design. Dresses with a high neckline may appreciate a jewellery piece that features a long chain and pendant. The decorative piece may help to fill in the space where there is a long stretch of material.

A sleeveless choice may be able to use variable bracelet ideas. Bands can be worn on one arm or both and placed in a group. That could allow someone to wear ten to twenty bands of gold or white gold on the arm. The colour and design may be a decorative feature for the arm. Some bands will actually stick to the arm and can be placed on the upper arm or anywhere along the arm. These bands could feature a traditional circle shape or feature a unique design or creation. Ankle chains can add some colour to a bare leg. If a dress is long or short, chains around the ankle can help to dress up the feet. They may feature plain gold or silver bands or could offer a pendant that hangs around the feet. This can be a nice way to dress up a foot and have it match a pair of prom shoes.

Some people will choose a mix and match style for their prom night, where other people will only wear a matching set. Matching sets may feature items that have been created together. While the ankle chain and the neck chain may look similar, they could be designed in different ways. Rings can be big or small depending on someone's taste. If a person has chosen not to wear a lot of Costume Jewellery on their neck, arm or leg, they could make up for it on their fingers. Large, bulky and decorative rings can add some sparkle and colour to the hands.

Fashion Jewellery does not have to cost a fortune. While there are many shops available that can provide quality and designer items, there are locations that sell great looking items for less money. When someone has a special occasion, they may want to wear more expensive items. Heading to a club or bar with friends may involve wearing items that serve the purpose of being decorative.
