Demi Lovato has revealed she's had hate mail and prank calls because of her friendship with the Jonas Brothers.



The actress was thrilled to star alongside the teen heartthrobs in new movie Camp Rock.



But obsessed fans think she’s secretly dating one of them.



‘Imagine being new to Disney and your first big job is being the romantic interest of one of the biggest heartthrobs on the channel,’ she says.



‘Any girl that is a friend of the Jonas Brothers gets hate mail and is automatically suspected as a girlfriend.’



Demi, 16, insists she and the boys are just good friends.



‘We're really good friends,’ she tells Entertainment Weekly.



‘I just think it's funny that people try to pin me to them. It's like, come on! I think [if I were going to] I would have dated one of them by now!’

Miley Cyrus (Sort Of) Apologizes For Video Mocking Teens



Days after Miley Cyrus posted a YouTube video mocking fellow Disney stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, the 15-year-old singer and actress apologized in her own way.

“I mean if we offended (Selena and Demi), we’re super sorry, but we were, like, just having fun,” Miley said in an interview with Popstar! magazine.

Although the video made fun of the teens scene-by-scene, the Hannah Montana star says it was all in fun.

Camp Rock[s] Ratings


The Disney Channel's Friday night premiere of the Cinderella-like "Camp Rock" drew in 8.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Tweens, or those between 9- and 14-years of age made up 3.4 million of the viewers.

"Camp Rock" became Disney's second-most-watched TV movie of all time, right behind last summer's "High School Musical 2," which had 17.2 million viewers, making it the all-time most-watched entertainment telecast on basic cable.

However, "Camp Rock" did beat the 7.8 million viewers of the original "High School Musical."

The newest Disney made-for-TV movie will be rebroadcast on ABC's "Wonderful World of Disney" on Saturday and on ABC Family on Sunday.

The film stars newcomer Demi Lovato, pegged as the next Miley Cyrus, as a girl who can only afford to attend a summer music camp after her mother gets a job working in the kitchen. It also features the Jonas Brothers, who have just released their new single, "Burning Up," from their upcoming album, A Little Bit Longer.
