"It's not global warming, it's global cooling!''

“Fake is not chic – but fake fur is”
Karl Lagerfeld said backstage at the Chanel fall/winter 2010 show.

Alexander McQueen Fall 2010.

March 9, Paris was in possession of the AMAZING posthumous collection designed by Alexander McQueen, the collection is inspired in the byzantine times, a myriad of embroidery, beading and prints that confirms what everybody already knew McQueen was a genius. And now there is a huge void in fashion world.
Alexander McQueen's last works were given final honors by his trusted team in a hushed and dignified showing that went to his core as a designer who scaled the heights of couture accomplishment. Sarah Burton, his right hand, described how, in beginning this collection, McQueen had turned away from the world of the Internet, which he had so powerfully harnessed in his last show. "He wanted to get back to the handcraft he loved, and the things that are being lost in the making of fashion," she said. "He was looking at the art of the Dark Ages, but finding light and beauty in it. He was coming in every day, draping and cutting pieces on the stand." The 16 outfits shown had been 80 percent finished at the time of his death.

Rest in peace Alexander McQueen.

Milan Fashion Week.

As you might know last week was Milan Fashion Week and here are some of the trend proposed by Dolce&Gabbana, Fendi, Prada and Versace for Autumn/Winter 2010/2011. Generally all the collections presents very sexies and functional outfits. For the Prada collection click here.

DOLCE AND GABBANA

The collection of Dolce and Gabbana is very sexy. With the red lipstick and the colours it all comes together. The most striking is the trend; over-the-knee dresses and skirts. Personally i don't like it, it makes me small and fat, but it looks so beautiful when i see it on the models.

FENDI.

And now Fendi, i litteraly don't have words for this extravagant, ready-to-wear collection. The pieces are each beautiful made and they all have something thats special. With this collection you can go to a fashion party, you can wear it as a red carpet dress, you can go to the North Pole (pic. 7,8) or you just go to your grandma.
VERSACE
Last but not least Versace. Totally diffrent than the other two but refreshing. This collection has more colour than Fendi and D&G together. I think it's better, because we don't want to hear; ''everyone is wearing dark clothes in the winter.'', ''the winter is depressing me.'' Whatever, about the collection. There are some pieces i like, but there are also some pieces that are really raunchy. Like the fur jacket, i mean thats over now right? And i don't think i'm gonna wear some of that dresses to a party, isn't that too much? Its RTW Donatella, you know you can better, prove it.

The Row F/W 10/11

Simple and anonymously chic, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen understand how to take an interesting approach to covered up dressing with their luxury line, The Row.
With a collection full of long skirts, long sleeve chiffon and leathers, denim blue python, a silk button-down jumpsuit and of course, a slouchy tuxedo jacket they "wanted to do something low-key and straight to the point."
It's not something that we've never seen before and its intresting en diffrent at the same time.
What's next?

Prada Fall 2010 Ready-To-Wear

The Prada Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection is perfect for those ladies who want a feminine look but without sacrificing daring details that are huge nowadays. You really see things from Prada at the 60's and 90's.
The collection was all about the curve (a refreshing change, I must say), creating a unique silhouette on the runway.
For those who did not made it to join the show for real, just like Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Emporio Armani you could also see the Prada show live on the internet.
I liked it, but because it was so bizzy with people who want to see the show simultaneously the stream was very bad.

Next time more aware that its going to be that busy?

Well whatever, here a few examples of the show:

Yes this is the Dutch model Patricia Van Der Vliet.
I'm proud of her that she made it this far!

Love the layer effect with the little belt.

Just because this is the prettiest dress of the whole collection!

Here you clearly can see the infludes of the 60's and 90's.
The colors, the hair, the glasses, the legging and the dress, the whole outfit remembers me of the 60's.

Live frontrow at Prada!

Yes you read it correctly, about a few hours and you can see the show live from Prada! The following link shows you tonight at 7 hour the show live. http://www.prada.com/
Are you going to watch it live tonight?
