Rumors have been swirling for some time that "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell is engaged to his girlfriend of about a year, Mezhgan Hussainy. Cowell himself has denied said rumors, but Hussainy recently spilled the beans that Cowell did, in fact, propose and that the two are now officially engaged.

The pair met several years ago while they were both working on "Idol" - she as the head make-up artist, and he as a judge. They became a couple after Cowell's previous relationship ended. The two are already living together, and Hussainy has hinted that the wedding will take place soon - probably within the year.

Reports claim that "the ceremony is usually used to bless new couples in the hope that it might lead them toward marriage." After a few days of speculation, Russell confirmed the engagement by texting, "It's true. Much love," to the UK's Sun newspaper.

Actors Rachel Bilson and her longtime boyfriend, Hayden Christensen are reportedly engaged! PEOPLE and Page Six are reporting that the couple are making it official and got quietly engaged over the holidays. Hmm, if we are just finding out about the ring now, they are pretty stealthy! They seem to be a celebrity couple that is successful with flying low on the papz radar!

When contacted, Bilson's rep told PEOPLE, "I don't comment on my clients' personal lives."
