VMA host Russell Brand raved for about two minutes too long about virginity, knocking the Jonas Brother for not using their popularity to score with the ladies as well as the promise rings they were. Well Jordin Sparks came to their defense stating that "I just want to say, it's not bad to wear a promise ring, because not everyone, guy or girl, wants to be a slut." Sparks also wears a promise ring to show that she to is waiting until marriage.Katy Perry also responded to Brand's comments by changing the lyrics in her performance to "Like A Virgin" saying "Like a Jonas, with your promise ring next to mine".
