Susan Boyle is the definition of an over night success. It's no lie that everyone was laughing at her, including the judges, as she walked on stage for her audition. Even as she confidently and innocently answered the questions asked by the judges people had smirks on their faces ready for a horrible performance, but as soon as she started singing the crowd exploded with applause and cheers because of how amazing she was. After that she became an instant star. She had the tabloids buzzing for weeks!

Unfortunately, the reasons for her being the talk of entertainment world are not for her success, but for her loss on the show as well as her mental breakdown.

Yes Susan Boyle had a mental breakdown shortly after she came second to the dance group, Diversity. She was taken to the Priory, which is a clinic in London that is known for it's celebrity clientele.

According to one of the judges on the show, Piers, Susan had been feeling immensely stressed and sick the week before the show. Maybe the fame came too soon with too much pressure for a simple women like Susan. Her family expects her to recover soon yet her scheduled tours as well as many other things have been put on hold.

In Britain today, Susan Boyle was taunted and verbally abused by locals to a point she lost control of her senses.

With police present, Susan Boyle reacted harshly and could be heard yelling by many onlookers in the lobby of the Wembley Plaza Hotel in North London, "How f***ing dare you! You can't f***ing talk to me like that."

Who among us doesn't have a breaking point? Who among us hasn't wanted to do something with their talent and done nothing with it? Susan Boyle is just a regular person thrust into a spot light. For her to lose her temper with people looking to abuse her and treat her inhumanely is completely acceptable.

Celebrities sometimes do not deserve our pity. Many love the spotlight and deserve to have a microscope put upon them. Susan Boyle is not one of them. Susan Boyle is you and I. She is one of us. A regular person that is a good person put in a hostile environment.

Boyle's "Cry Me A River" is a remake of the blues standard, not Timberlake's pop ballad. The Whitburn Community Council in West Lothian only pressed 1,000 copies of The Millennium Celebration compilation.

The singer, who said she has never been kissed, now has an offer on the table from Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan who has said he would take her on a romantic date. Still, Boyle isn't eager to abandon her more homely looks for an extreme makeover just because she is on the television show.

"I wouldn't want to change myself too much because that would really make things a bit false," she told CNN's American Morning on Friday. "I want to receive people as the real me, a real person."

It's not just Boyle's singing that has fans searching the internet for related information. Web searches for the term "gobsmacked" spiked after Boyle used the British slang meaning utterly astonished when describing her reaction to newfound widespread acclaim.

The humble 48-year-old unemployed singer who began performing in school productions when she was 12 credits her late mother as the inspiration to audition for the competition show. Boyle's story has already won her talk show circuit interviews on CNN and Larry King Live. An appearance on Oprah is said to be in the works.
