They Lied...

Fans of the Broadway show, Rent, can breathe a sigh of relief. The show was set to close on June 1st in NYC but now the musical's producers said yesterday that the last performance will now be staged on September 7th! So the public basically has the entire summer to grab those tickets and enjoy the show before it closes officially then... or will it? Ha!

The pop-rock musical “Rent” will close June 1, 2008 after a 12-year run, 5,012 performances and awards, including the Tony and Pulitzer — not to mention grosses of over $280 million.
