Naomi Watts won't rush marriage

Naomi Watts refuses to rush into marriage.

The 40-year-old actress - who has two sons, 18-month-old Alexander and seven-week old Samuel Kai, with partner Liev Schreiber - won't be pressurised into tying the knot because she isn't a fan of the institution.

She revealed in an interview with Parade magazine: "Liev gave me a beautiful ring, although I'm not wearing it right now. It's not like I've grown up having this dream of a fairytale wedding.

"My mother married twice and had two divorces. And Liev comes from the same kind of background. Maybe one day we'll just wake up and go, 'Hey, let's do this.' And maybe not. He and I have a family. We're very much together. We just don't have that certificate, and that's OK with both of us."

Despite her reluctance to walk down the aisle, Naomi insists she is deeply in love with Live, a "fiercely intelligent" man who she has "always been drawn towards".

The actress also opened up about her relationship with Heath Ledger - who died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January 2008 - who she met on the set of 2002 movie 'Ned Kelly'.

She said: "It's still incredibly difficult. It was just something deep in his eyes. You could look into them, and they would tell a thousand stories in one glance. There was a wonderful mixture of power and fragility at work in everything he did, which just pulls you in. His strength didn't scare you. It intrigued you. And his fragility touched you."

Watts and Liev Schreiber are still unmarried, the couple have been together since 2005 and have one previous son, Alexander Pete, who was born on July 25, 2007. Congratulations to the couple, more celebrity spawn is welcomed into the world just before the new year!

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber's first child - a healthy boy - was born on Thursday.

The 8 lbs, 4 oz., 22.5 inch long baby, named Alexander Pete Schreiber, was born at 3:59 in Los Angeles.

He was reportedly a week premature.

Watts and the baby are resting in a hospital near Watts' home in Brentwood, CA.

The couple met when they filmed the period drama The Painted Veil. They have been dating since 2005.
