Racy lady: Kylie Minogue pulls out the stops in backless dress for premiere of stylist William Baker's new burlesque show

By JODY THOMPSON

Daring: Kylie Minogue wore a plunging backless frock that laced at the front for the premiere of William Baker's Hurly Burly Show in London

Kylie Minogue put on a suitably racy lacy frock when she was guest of honour at the opening of her stylist William Baker's new burlesque show last night.

The 42-year-old star had donned an unusual pom-pom trimmed nude frock which rather saucily had a plunging lace-up front as well as killer nude peep toe Louboutins for the premiere in London.

Called The Hurly Burly and taglined 'A contemporary burlesque review' the raunchy revue is directed by 37-year-old William and has just opened in the West End's Garrick Theatre.

Raunchy: Kylie with the star of the show, which has just launched at the Garrick Theatre, Miss Polly Rae

Starring burlesque artist Miss Polly Rae, it's described as an all singing, all dancing burlesque-inspired revue with a contemporary twist fusing fashion, music and popular culture - not that far removed from Kylie's current Aphrodite: Les Folies tour, then...

Rather than Kylie though, the Hurly Burly Show stars its founder, Miss Polly Rae, who created the show five years ago at the Soho Revue Bar.

William, who began his career as a fashion designer, made his debut as a theatre director in the 2007 West End revival of Rent.

Kylie was taking a night off from her Aphrodite tour, which kicked off in Denmark in February, to support her friend in his new endeavour.

On Tuesday night, the star played Manchester, where she shared a post-gig shandy with Coronation Street star Antony Cotton, aka Weatherfield's Sean Tully.

'WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!! Thank you Manchester for 4 incredible nights and peeps for all ur amazing tweets!! Your #Aphrodite x'

Then added: '@antonycotton and I sharing a post show drinky-poo!!!'

Kylie's tour also stops by for five nights at the London's O2 Arena, kicking off on April 7, and finally winds up in Perth, Australia, on 22 June.

The moment Kylie Minogue breaks down while talking about her traumatic cancer battle in an extraordinarily raw interview

By Andrea Magrath

Emotional: Kylie Minogue broke down while discussing her battle with breast cancer during an interview with Australian television

Just last week she celebrated the monumental five year, all clear mark.

And despite being at the top of her game, in the midst of a spectacular world tour, Kylie Minogue has revealed how her harrowing battle with breast cancer still haunts her.

The 42-year-old singer broke down in tears and had to leave the room during an emotional interview with Australian television program Sunday Night.

Overcome: Kylie had to turn her face away from the camera during the interview with Australian music personality Molly Meldrum to attempt to recover

In what is undoubtedly her most raw and candid interview to date, Kylie opened up about the dark period to her close friend, Molly Meldrum, before the opening night of her Aphrodite tour in Denmark.

Meldrum complimented her on her 'brave' battle with the disease, but Kylie corrected him: 'You might have seen the bravery. I don't think the public saw... well, I stayed indoors.

'My family got me through really rotten, dark moments.'

Distraught: The singer had been discussing an encounter with a sick child's parents when the memory became too much for her

Time out: The 42-year-old apologised to Meldrum, a good friend, and halted the interview

Tears welled in hear eyes and she struggled to speak after discussing an encounter with a sick child and their parents in a children's hospital.

Kylie said: 'I was talking to some parents across the other side of a bed and their child was there.

'I was saying the things that I would normally say in that situation, just making conversation with the child, with the parents, giving them some support as well.

'And then, they really caught me off guard, they just eyeballed me and said, "How are you, and we hope you get through it" and it’s like...'

Memories: Kylie explained that she had not thought about the encounter for some time and she was 'caught off guard'

The singer struggled to find her words and became overcome with emotion.

As Meldrum, a legendary music personality in Australia, started to move onto another question, the emotion became too much for Kylie and after hiding her face to attempt to recover, she apologised and dashed out of the room.

But Minogue quickly returned to the room, eager to explain why the topic had upset her so much.

Still clearly emotional and fighting tears, she told the crew, 'It's OK, keep rolling.

Traumatic: Kylie was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005, and says that her family got her through 'the really rotten, dark moments'

'The reason that that gets me is, and the greatest part of my job and what I do is the humanity of it, and there’s certain moments where that really cuts through.'

She said that she hadn't thought about that encounter for some time, and that: 'It stopped me in my tracks.'

Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 but at the end of February, she celebrated five years of being given the all clear.

'The five-year mark is the end of this month and I feel like I’m back with all guns blazing,' Kylie told Australian newspaper the Herald Sun in February.

Family: Kylie also said that she 'might' marry boyfriend Andres Velencoso and that he is 'a natural' with children

'I’ll have a few mixed emotions on the day. I wanted to do a concert but now I’m on tour myself. I don’t know what to do. Obviously, it’s going to be exciting but it’s also going to be surreal and momentous and a bit scary.

'Anyone who’s been through cancer or any other disease with surgeries and treatments knows you have constant reminders that this is not how it used to be. I think my path is written,' she added.

'Even if part of you wants to say "OK I get it, I’m used to this", another part of you takes a lot longer to catch up with it and get with the program.'

After their raw discussion, Kylie and Meldrum moved on to cheerier topics, including the prospect of marriage and babies with her boyfriend, Andre Velencoso, 32.

Fighting fit: Minogue just celebrated the five year, all clear mark at the end of February

Quizzed by Meldrum on the subject of marriage, she said: “It might happen, who knows!

And she even beat her old friend to the chase on the inevitable follow-up question, saying: 'Andres is a natural with children. We will just have to see but I’m not sure if that will be part of my future.

'There’s more than one way to skin a cat. It’s important for women to know there are other options available, whatever means you have to use to have a family, if that’s your desire go for it.'

Kylie Minogue's busy love life

Kylie Minogue has several boyfriends.

The 40-year-old singer has been romantically linked with Spanish model Andres Velencoso since October but friends insist their relationship is not serious and she is still dating other people.

Author Kathy Lette - a close pal of the singer - said: "Andres is gorgeous but I don't know if he's the main one. I think she's got a few on the menu.

"Kylie is just having some time off to have fun at the moment. She works too hard so she deserves it."

Despite Kathy's comments, Kylie - who spent New Year with Andres, 30, on a skiing break in the French Alps - reportedly travelled to her toyboy's hometown of Tossa de Mar to meet his father and sister.

A source said: "Andres took her to meet his family, and they all got to know each other over dinner at his father's restaurant.

"It was a very romantic break - they were able to go for long walks along the beach together and Andres showed her many places from his childhood.

"This is his first serious relationship, and his family appreciate how much effort he is making with Kylie and were very welcoming."

Kylie Minogue's kids song

Kylie Minogue has recorded a song to impress her two-year-old nephew.

The doting aunt has teamed up with colourful Australian children's musical group The Wiggles because her nephew Charles - her brother Brendan's son - is such a fan.

Kylie said: "Now Charles really will think I'm cool. I hope he likes the song. It was fun to do. I might even grab a shirt and go on tour with the boys. I'm not sure what colour I will be."

The '2 Hearts' singer features on new song 'Monkey Man' on forthcoming release 'The Wiggles Go Bananas'.

Kylie first expressed an interest in working with the group last year.

Kylie Minogue: Disappointed with her last album 'X'

Kylie Minogue has admitted she is disappointed with her last album 'X'.

The Australian-born pop singer says although her 'X2008' tour has been well received, her post-breast cancer LP wasn't as good as it could have been.

Kylie told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "In retrospect we could definitely have bettered it, I'll say that straight up. 'Wow', '2 Hearts' and 'In My Arms' are crackers - they go off like a frog in a sock - but given the time we had, it is what it is."

Despite a huge push from her record label, the album

flopped in the US - not even making the top 100 of the American album charts.

However, Kylie isn't upset that Stateside success has eluded her.

She said: "I always go over there with the same attitude I've always had, which is, 'If it's to happen, it'll happen.' I'm kept pretty much busy enough. We'll see. I'm not racing over there. I'm heading home."

Kylie also revealed an unlikely inspiration for her tour - rock band Queen, in particular late flamboyant frontman Freddie Mercury.

Kylie added: "I'm releasing my inner Freddie Mercury. It's hard to explain but parts of the show are so over the top. When I sing 'Your Disco Needs You' it's a real Freddie moment."

Kylie Minogue is Royally Awarded

Pop princess Kylie Minogue received an award at Buckingham Palace on Thursday from Prince Charles.

The 40-year-old singer, wearing a white dress decked with multicolored sequin stars, smiled as Prince Charles presented her with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to music.

Queen Elizabeth announced that she would be receiving the award in December.

Although Minogue is Australian, she can receive the full award because Australia is part of the British Commonwealth.

The singer is relatively unknown in the United States except for her 1987 hit "Locomotion." She has released nine studio albums, and has sold over 60 million records worldwide during her 20-year career.

She holds the record for the most-played female artist on UK radio in the past 20 years, according to her Web site.

Kate Moss named best dressed

Glamour magazine has released its annual best-dressed women list, and supermodel Kate Moss continues her reign at the top.

"Kate's back with a vengeance," said Glamour editor Jo Elvin. "Her maverick approach to fashion is an inspiration and shows us all how to be a little more daring and experimental."

Moss had been usurped last year by Kylie Minogue, but the Australian pop star fell to number 19 this year. A spokesperson for the magazine said Minogue's fashion choices have been too "outlandish" this year for readers' tastes.

British actress Sienna Miller and American actresses Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Aniston followed Moss in the reader-voted poll.

Voted worst dressed for 2008 was unsurprisingly Britney Spears, who has had a publicly rough year. British transport Victoria Beckham was voted the ninth-worst dressed, but she also was selected number 10 on the best-dressed list.

Kylie Minogue's Imbruglia break

Kylie Minogue and Natalie Imbruglia have gone on a girls-only luxury holiday.

The pop pair - who both starred in Australian TV show 'Neighbours' together - have flown to Mauritius for a relaxing five-night break at the five-star Shanti Ananda resort to escape their troubled love lives.

A source said: "Natalie is heartbroken after splitting from husband Daniel Johns and Kylie thought a sunshine break would cheer her up. They are both trying to put their relationship troubles behind them and think this holiday will do the job."

The exclusive Shanti Ananda resort in the Indian Ocean offers yoga lessons, meditation and a four-handed massage from two therapists.

Guests splash out £2,480-a-night to stay at a villa that boasts its own private butler, landscaped garden and swimming pool.

Kylie, 39, has been single since parting ways with actor Olivier Martinez last year following a four-year relationship. It was reported they had reunited last month after enjoying a two-day break in Paris together.

Natalie, 33, ended her marriage with Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns in January.

Celebrity News: Backpacker Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue is set to quit pop music and backpack around the world.

The diminutive pop princess - who was given the all-clear last year after battling with breast cancer - is planning to ditch the glitz and glamour of her current life to travel.

Kylie told Q magazine: "I'd love to travel - I'd love to have a backpack and just go. I'm genuinely thinking about doing it, with friends. Maybe with William Baker - my creative director. Big Willie and I, I'd be the one happy to go in a tent, he wouldn't. There can't be two divas on the round and normally it's him!

"But that's what I'd really love to do. In the undergrowth and in the first - I'm a real Aussie! I need to go feral."

The 39-year-old singer also said she would like to have her own TV show to rival British cook Nigella Lawson's before she starts her travelling adventure.

She said: "I'd love to have my own cooking show that's not so much about cooking but just about how to look hot in the kitchen!"

Lepaparazzi News Update: Olivier Martinez Three-Times Kylie

Love rat cheats on Minogue TWICE..!

According to UK newspaperThe Daily Mail, Kylie Minogue’s and Olivier Martinez’s three-year relationship is on the rocks.

It is rumoured that the French heart- throb has been caught 'entertaining' two other women in Los Angeles whilst his singer girlfriend was in Britain.

Friends of Ms. Minogue have told the Mail that Martinez has increasingly tried to alienate himself from his girlfriend in a desperate bid for her to finish with him.

Another source said,"Olivier finds Kylie too controlling and neurotic". "But he feels he cannot dump her so soon after her recovery from breast cancer.

Martinez was seen dining with two women on two separate occasions at LA’s famous celeb restaurant, Chateau Marmont. Both women spent time in his room after the meal.

Whilst her boyfriend was wining and dining his new conquests, Minogue, 38, was finishing the last dregs of her Homecoming Tour which she struggled to complete after suffering from exhaustion.

It seems the pint-sized starlet is somewhat unlucky in love. She went through a similar rough patch with Martinez two years ago after he was spotted kissing a woman, who incidentally turned out to be one of the women he was snapped in LA with, on a Paris street.

Minogue, who is recuperating after a breast cancer scare, has made no secret of wanting to start a family….looks like Martinez’s lothario ways have come as a blessing in disguise.

No Dating For Clooney And Anderson

It would have been a match made in tabloid heaven, but according to the man himself, George Clooney and Pamela Anderson are not dating.

Reports had paired PEOPLE magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" and the "Baywatch" babe together after an apparent sighting at Sherman Oaks restaurant.

However, bachelor Clooney says that not only are the pair not dating, but he has never eaten at the famed restaurant.

He said in a statement, "I worked with Pam seven years ago and haven't seen her since. And I've never been to that restaurant."

The reports had stated that Anderson was sitting on Clooney's lap during the dinner, whispering into his ear, and have since been "inseparable."

Anderson, who was once married to bad boy rocker Tommy Lee, has recently filed for divorce from Kid Rock.

Clooney has been linked to Renee Zellweger and Teri Hatcher in the past year.
