Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum recording artist Keri Hilson will perform “America the Beautiful” kicking-off WrestleMania XXVII live on pay-per-view Sunday, April 3 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2008, HUNDREDS OF INDEPENDENTLY-OWNED MUSIC STORES ACROSS THE COUNTRY WILL CELEBRATE “RECORD STORE DAY.”

On this day, all of these stores will simultaneously link and act as one with the purpose of celebrating the culture and unique place that they occupy both in their local communities and nationally.

This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Another PCM celebrity run-in!

PCM's Kristyn was recording the pop culture headlines at local Delaware radio station 93.7 WSTW, when the studio got a visit from songstress Keri Hilson. Keri's song "Energy" is on the verge of blowing up the charts, and she is best known for her collaboration with super-producer Timbaland on the track "The Way I Are" ! "Energy" is the first single off her upcoming album due in stores September 23rd. I asked Keri if she had any plans for the next single and she said "there are definitely some things in the works and ideas are swirling around". It will definitely be produced by Timbaland. I also found out that Keri does have some touring planned to support the new album, so be on the look-out for her to hit the road with Robin Thicke next month.
