'The Duchess' star has once again dispelled rumours she is anorexic and fears the constant speculation about her weight could damage her so far extremely successful career.

She added: "The rumours could potentially ruin my career because, if I had been ill, there is no way I would be able to do the action movies that I do - I wouldn't be hired."

Keira says the claims are particularly hurtful to her as her family has a history of the eating disorder.

She added: "I've got a lot of experience with anorexia. It was in my family. My grandmother and my great-grandmother suffered from it, so I don't think it's anything to be taken lightly."

Keira Knightley Bundles Up!

Actress Keira Knightley was spotted in NYC on the set of her new movie, "Last Night." She bundled up in the chilly October weather, it's getting cold here on the east coast! Maybe she should gain a few pounds to keep her a bit warmer, she's been criticized lately about her stick thin figure we've seen on the red carpet.

What's the movie about? “Last Night” follows a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he’s attracted. While he’s resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love.

She'll be busy for a bit, don't worry about Keira! Once she’s wrapped “Last Night,” Keira has plenty of work to keep her busy well into 2009 including “The Beautiful and the Damned” and “King Lear.”

Keira Knightley reckons she’s picked up some bad habits from her mum Sharman MacDonald.

The actress - who doesn’t drink, smoke or do drugs – says she can’t help muttering obscenities.

‘That is my vice, swearing,’ she admits. 'I really enjoy it.

'But you know what, my mum swears quite a lot while my dad does not swear.’

Meanwhile, Keira, 23, hopes to star in a remake of My Fair Lady with George Clooney, 47.

‘It’s an interesting prospect,’ she tells the Daily Mirror. ‘But there’s nothing concrete.’

Her next role is in The Beautiful And The Damned, which she starts shooting in spring.

Keira Knightley has not signed up for any more movies because she wants to chill out at her London home.

'It's been a strange year as far as films go,' she says. 'With the writers' strike in Hollywood, a lot of financing has fallen through.

'So I'm going to sit in my flat, read books and cook. I don't have a TV and I don't like to shop.'

But The Duchess actress, 23, doesn't want to turn her back on her profession for good.

'You stand on sets and think it's a ridiculous thing to do for a living,' she tells the Daily Star.

'Then you get caught up in it with people who absolutely love trying to create great stories.'

Although The Duchess premiere was attended by a host of British celebs, including Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Narnia actress Anna Popplewell, the true star of Wednesday night's London screening was the period drama's leading lady. Keira Knightley dazzled in a flirty Alexis Mabille number as she caught up with her co-star Ralph Fiennes at the star-studded event.

And the English Patient actor wasn't the only hunk Keira was mingling with at the do. The evening marked a rare couples' outing for the screen siren and her actor beau Rupert Friend, too. Fresh from a holiday in Indonesia, the pair - whose romance blossomed after they met on the set of Pride And Prejudice - showed they're as in-tune as ever by colour-coordinating their outfits.

In the flick Keira plays Georgiana Spencer, an aristocrat who becomes trapped in a loveless marriage with the Duke of Devonshire - played by Ralph - who is desperate for a son. And while the Pirates Of The Caribbean beauty says Georgiana - a distant relative of Princess Diana - was a "very exciting character to play", there were aspects of filming she wasn't quite so keen on.

"I had to be sewn in each time I put a costume on… That was what happened in those days," reveals the 23-year-old, who spent two hours dressing for her role every day. "While the end results would have been a fabulous look, getting there wasn't easy.

"The clothes, the wigs and the hats were so heavy that it became painful to stand around. At one point I had to wear a wig that was two feet high and the weight pushed my head down into my neck. The camera couldn't even see my eyes!"

The actress, 23, says they had a very open relationship when she was growing up.

'I think I was pouty when I was 16 or 17 when my first films came out,' she tells The Observer.

Don't Touch My Boobs, says Knightley

Keira Knightley has reportedly forbidden studio bosses from digitally enhancing her breasts in publicity photos for her new film The Duchess.

Knightley's chest got a famous boost in the poster for 2004's King Arthur. Back then Knightley said she "didn't give a sh*t," but apparently the actress has changed her mind.

A source close to the actress said: “She looks flat-chested in the whole movie; she has insisted that her figure stay in its natural state."

“She is proud of her body and doesn’t want it altered.”

Knightley has previously expressed her wish to have larger breasts.

”I would love to have boobs! I’m never going to get them. I’m naturally who I am.”

The Duchess is set for release in September.

Keira Knightley has revealed that she finds stripping off on camera far easier than having to belt out a song.

The 23-year-old actress says she was more than happy to film nude scenes for The Edge Of Love.

‘I always bare my breasts in sex scenes,' she says. 'So when the director asked me to take my bra off, I said: 'OK then."'

But Keira isn't so blasé about singing in the movie, which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last night.

'That was terrifying,’ she tells the Daily Record. ‘I was like a pre-pubescent boy. My
knees were shaking, but a couple of shots of vodka and everything was OK.’

The film was written by Keira's mum Sharman Macdonald, 57, and also stars Sienna Miller, 26.

On the red carpet Sienna posed arm-in-arm with co-star Matthew Rhys, 33, in her first public appearance since splitting with Rhys Ifans.

She's rumoured to have ditched 39-year-old Rhys because of jealousy over her friendship with the Welsh actor.

Keira Knightley's Mom Blasts Anorexia Rumors

Two years after Keira Knightley defended herself against anorexia rumors, the actress’ mother is bashing “playground bullies” in the press for yet again accusing her super-slim daughter of having an eating disorder.

“She has always been thin. She’s her daddy’s daughter, with his long body,” Sharman Macdonald tells Britain’s Sunday Times.

She adds that Knightley has to “eat like a horse” to maintain a healthy weight—and that the 23-year-old follows a high-protein, high-carb diet to keep her weight on target.

In 2006, Knightley blasted rumors she suffered from an eating disorder.

She said: ‘I’ve got a lot of experience with anorexia - my grandmother and great-grandmother suffered from it, and I had a lot of friends at school who suffered from it, so I know it’s not something to be taken lightly and I don’t.”

Last year the Atonement star admitted to seeing her doctor to try to pack on some weight.

“I went to the doctor to be checked out and asked him what I could do to put on weight. He told me that, for someone of my body type to get to a size 12, I would have to eat a lot of s*** food, stop exercising and drink loads,” Knightley said.

“Basically, my body type is naturally thin. There is nothing I can do about it.”

Keira Knightley will never move to Hollywood because everyone is too obsessed with movies.

The 'Atonement' actress, who lives in London, insists there is more to life than acting and fame, and insists she feels suffocated when she visits Tinseltown.

She said: "It's a funny place, I could never live in Hollywood, there's no where to escape to. You find yourself sitting around a lot and every conversation you have is about the movies. I think you have to be in a city that has different walks of life that you can observe - and, for me, that's London."

One of the things Keira most enjoys about the UK capital is the fact she can go out to her local pub and sit and enjoy a drink without being hassled by fans or paparazzi.

She added to Cosmopolitan magazine: "I get really homesick when I 'm away. I bought a house just before I did 'Pride and Prejudice' that I never lived in because I was away so much. I just want to be able to say this is my home, and this is where I shop and go to the pub. I have a great local pub in London, where the landlord is really nice. I usually have a beer and sit in the corner - only half a pint because I can't handle a full pint."
