Christina Milian Celebrates Being Single

In today’s celebrity news and gossip, pop singer Christina Milian has come up with a divorce settlement after her brief marriage to producer The Dream, and lawyers are expected to have the paperwork in front of an Atlanta judge very soon. According to Christina’s lawyer, Milian was very pleased that she and The Dream were able to keep things from getting ugly in court.

As for her current plans, Milian is concentrating on work and on raising her 8-month-old daughter Violet Madison Nash. For the time being, she’s ruling out romantic relationships. She told People magazine, “There is no man in my life and I'm staying single. No dating, no nothing. I love being single." The 29-year-old says she doesn’t want to bring anyone into her daughter’s life that she doesn’t have a real connection with.

The Dream Weds Christina Milian

Singer, producer, and songwriter The Dream wedded his fiance Christina Milian at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas last week. The two applied for a marriage license more than a month ago in Los Angeles. The Dream, famous for his songwriting credits on last summer's smash hit, "Umbrella", has been patiently waiting to start a family with Milian. The Dream once stated, "You have to do your work- then whenever she makes that time for herself, she'll make that time [to have a baby]. In the next couple of years, there'll be something around."

At the end of the summer, Christina Milian's name started floating around more and more, due to her starring role in the drawn-out "Bring It On" series. She played the hot, flawed cheerleader in the straight to DVD release "Bring It On: Fight to the Finish". Milian is most famous for her hits like 2001's "AM to PM" and 2004's get-naked-and-dance-in-mud-themed "Dip It Low".

Milian and the Dream have been dating since early 2009. Cut to nine months later, they're married. Fast forward nine months from now, who knows. Hopefully this couple's love won't fall by the Hollywood wayside.

Christina Milian Gets Engaged

Singer Christina Milian and music producer The-Dream are now engaged. The couple had denied that they are getting married for some time now, but Milian has finally confirmed the engagement to Usmagazine.com.

"We don't have plans yet -- but it hasn't [already] happened, that I can confirm," Milian said of her upcoming wedding. "We just want to have our closest friends and family there; it's not going to be too big."

The-Dream proposed to Milian with a a six-carat diamond from Ivanka Trump's jewelry line. This will be the first marriage for Milian and the second for The-Dream.

Remember Christina Milian? Check out her brand new music video for her upcoming single called “Up Against the World!” The 27-year-old singer’s upcoming album Dream in Color is set to come out April 2009. The song is her first single since Def Jam dropped her in 2006 because of Rihanna. Talk about getting royally snubbed! We never knew the truth! Christina is now signed with Myspace Records/Interscope.

Milian was on the cover of Rap-Up Magazine in December and she finally spoke about her split with the record label. “It was embarrassing. It was a week after my album [So Amazin’] got put out. I would be in my room a lot of the time crying by myself.”

On the reason why she was dropped: “It was a budget cut, I believe. [Def Jam] probably got rid of projects like mine to spend the money on [Rihanna].”
