Rihanna Speaks out about Chris Brown

Singer Rihanna – who was left battered and bruised after her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown assaulted her in February at a pre-Grammys party – knows she isn’t the only person to be the victim of domestic abuse.

"This happened to me. It can happen to anyone," she said.

However, the 21-year-old beauty admitted it was hard to deal with because of the feelings she had for the ‘Run It’ singer.

She says in an episode of ‘Good Morning America’ due to air on Thursday (11-05-09): "He was definitely my first big love."

Chris was recently interviewed about the assault and spoke of his regret about attacking Rihanna and told how he is trying his best to make amends.

"I'm human," he said. "If people feel a certain way, I'm not going to say they're wrong. But it's not right to judge somebody when people make mistakes all the time."

"I've learned from my mistakes and I'm learning from them. And I regret every moment, every second of it."

Chris repeatedly punched Rihanna in the face and bit her arms in his car as they left a pre-Grammy Awards party in February.

He pleaded guilty to assault and in August was sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counselling and five years probation.

The judge also issued a restraining order which requires him to stay at least 100 yards from Rihanna for five years.

Chris Brown suffers from girlfriend beating amnesia

During his interview with Larry King Wednesday night, Chris Brown admitted to not remembering the incident where he brutalized then girlfriend Rihanna. Brown stated that his behavior doesn't reflect "who I am as a person". Brown, dressed in a baby blue sweater with a coordinating dark blue bow tie, looked innocent and youthful flanked by his mother, Joyce Hawkins, and his lawyer, Mark Geragos.

His vain attempts to look like a nice guy after his domestic violence case culminated is comparable to the Menendez brothers wearing pastel shirts at their parent's murder trial in 1989. Looking like a J.Crew model doesn't excuse violent behavior. One can only hope that Chris Brown is genuine in his apologies to Rihanna and that he will get the help he needs in dealing with anger management.

Chris Brown's Apollogy Worked; On Rihanna

The New York Post reports hip hop artist Chris Brown and his ex girlfriend singer Rihanna spent the weekend in of all places, Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York City overlooking beautiful Central Park. However they did check into separate rooms.

In addition they have tried to avoid the public, press, and paparazzi using decoy cars in an effort to not be caught together by anyone with a camera. Why? Remember Chris has a restraining order barring him from any contact from Rihanna. Brown, pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge against Rhianna just 5 months ago in February.

Bottom line, his video pleading for forgiveness may not have worked with the public or media. It did work on the one person to him that mattered, Rihanna. You may recall his video he personally released last week (week of July 12) asking for every one's forgiveness was panned by critics and polls shown that over 60 percent felt his apology was too little tool late.

One could speculate it's just a coincidence but neither artist have any performances in town this weekend. In addition they have ultimately arrived and left the same locations, just not together and not at the same times.

What is happening it appears Brown is on his own in his doings. Last week he acknowledged his video apology was against his attorneys recommendation and when asked for comment in regards to this past weekend his equally high profile attorney Mark Geragos stated, "I don't want to be quoted on something hypothetical."

Essentially, mums the words folks. We see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil. No one is commenting on this. Not only are Brown's attorney and publicist not speaking, the prosecutors in Brown's case are not commenting. The real question is how will Rihanna react to questions asking if she forgives Brown? Because you know she's going to deny (she has to) having seen him. Consider that these two are kids. Brown is 20 and Rihanna is 21. They have a long way to go in terms of understanding the mess they are in and how to properly handle it. Brown has not even been sentenced yet so he is walking a very fine line as the courts don't take kindly to disrespecting orders. Any one judge with an agenda could decide to make an example of him.

What is worse is that if it is proven true that Rihanna has reconciled with Brown, she will lose all public sympathy. At least if he hits her again. Until then, talking heads will come out of the woodwork discussing if she did or did not do the right thing.

If you are wondering how this turns out, perhaps you can use the other Brown fiasco as a barometer. His name is Bobby.

Chris Brown Publicly Apologizes in Video

Chris Brown has posted a video online apologizing for his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The incident led to a conviction of felony assault, sentencing him to five years probation and six months of community service, along with mandatory domestic violence classes. He must also pay several fines and is forbidden from contacting Rihanna, who suffered facial injuries and temporary unconsciousness as a result of the attack. Watch the video in which Brown accepts "full responsibility" for his actions.

Chris Brown Sentenced

Monday, June 22nd, Chris Brown's plea deal was announced. Brown will serve no jail time, but instead was sentenced to 180 days of labor service in Virgina, 5 years probation, and ordered to attend a domestic-abuse program for a year. In addition to the conditions to the deal, Brown was also issued a "stay away" order by the judge hearing the case. According to the "stay away" order, Brown isn't to have any contact with Rihanna during his probation period. If both celebrities attend the same function, Brown is to keep a certain distance from Rihanna. Also, Rihanna is not to contact him either.

Did Chris Brown get a slap on the wrist for assaulting his one time girlfriend, Rihanna? After all, Brown did plead guilty. Brown was offered 180 days of jail time as an alternative to labor service. Brown will be formally sentenced on August 5th, where the 180 days could be reduced.

Deal Reached In the Chris Brown Case

Chris Brown copped a plea deal in his assault case. He has managed to avoid any jail time and was sentenced to five years probation for felony assault to which he pled guilty, 180 days of community service, and he must stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna.

Do you think justice was served?

Chris Brown Trying To Be Good With Rihanna Again?

Awkwardness filled the stadium at Game 4 of the NBA finals when Chris Brown and Rhianna both attended it. You'd think after all that went down between the two you'd never see them at the same basketball game after probably having to see each other in many other aspects of their lives like award shows, celeb parties, and all those other places famous people go to. None the less the two were seen at the basket ball game...although they weren't there together. They were actually on opposite sides of the arena and during half-time in completely different lounge areas.

Shockingly Chris Brown did go out of his way to go to where Rhianna and her friends were seated to say hello and shake hands. Maybe he was trying to make things less awkward or maybe he was showing that he was in fact starting to become mature. Regardless sources say that Rhianna could care less because she's moved on to Magic's player, Rashard Lewis.

So far it hasn't been confirmed from Rhianna directly yet but sources close to Rhianna say she's been crushing on him.

What Were You Thinking! - Rihanna Tattoos Gun

At last count Rihanna has riddled her body with over ten tattoos, eleven is one estimate. Make that twelve.

Now there is one more. It's a gun on her ribs by tattoo artist, BangBang, whom she flew in from NY to L.A. to print her. Is it a response to being brutally smacked around by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown? If you ask Rihanna it appears not."We've been talking about the idea for a year," referring to BangBang which he gave her last Thursday at her Hollywood mansion. She had a necklace with a gun, and I love it. I was like, "How about the gun?" In fact she was set to have two guns. But in interviews and blog postings by Bang Bang, he paints (or inks) different picture.

"I printed it out, put it on her shoulders," BangBang explains he originally designed his art for both shoulders, "it took a little bit away from her face. She's so beautiful. That's not what we're going for!"

This is terrible timing in terms of her decision making, but then again, look who she dated in the first place, and is it really over or will she protect him as many abused women often do? Let's hope not.

Rihanna shows some signs of intelligence in the matter though, in BangBang's Myspace page he tells fans, "I really wanted to put it here (on her arms)? She loved 'em. But, Cover Girl wouldn't have liked it much? and they pay the bills! Ended up doing it on her ribs."

Originally Rihanna wanted to put two guns on herself, one on each arm but stopped short due to her contract with Cover Girl Cosmetics. Still there was no stopping Rihanna from having her way on the matter. In the end it appears despite what she may say, BangBang spills the truth on why she had the gun tattoo'd on her body, "It's powerful. It's protection. At least that's my interpretation of it." Seems to me, the woman hasn't a clue.

Spotted: Chris Brown In Miami

We haven't seen Chris Brown out much lately since the scandal broke between him and Rihanna. He turned up in Miami this weekend. The singer spent a few days at P. Diddy's house in Florida soaking up some rays and jet-skiing. Many fans are upset that Brown is out having fun in the sun, laughing and smiling while this potentially serious charge is looming over him. Does he look sorry?

Reports are saying that Rihanna and Brown are back together and she is spending time at Diddy's house on Star Island near Miami, as well!

And how is Rihanna's family handling word that she's reconciling with the boyfriend who is said to have brutally beaten her?

Her father Ronald Fenty tells Us that he supports his daughter's decisions. “I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I'm behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that's the road she wants to choose, I'm behind her. I hope to see her soon. I talked to her after her birthday, and she told me she's OK," he said. WHAT?!

Rihanna's Face Revealed

Awful, awful, awful. We don't like reporting news like this and take this kind of story very seriously.

Take a look at this gorgeous picture of Rihanna. That's not what she looked like after Chris Brown got done with her. Click to see the shocking photo of Rihanna via TMZ taken after Chris Brown allegedly beat her during an altercation in Los Angeles on Feb. 8. Brown is due in court on March 5th.

Brown's Official Apology (Does He Mean It?)

Chris Brown has released the following statement via his spokesperson concerning the altercation between Brown and Rihanna, 20, on Feb 8th:

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

Hmm, a decent apology or do we smell...a little BS? What do you think? Can we ever forgive Chris Brown for what we think happened between him and Rihanna that night?

Chris Brown: The Saga Continues

The latest chapter in the Chris Brown/Rihanna saga of 2009 claims that the fight between the two was over a text message he got from another woman while he was driving.

A police source tells TMZ that Rihanna read a text message from a woman Chris was planning on "meeting up with" (presumably, not for a game of Parcheesi) later. They also fought about an unnamed rapper (*coughcough JAY-Z! coughcough*), but that's not how the fight started. (I've also read rumors on several sites that they were fighting about Rihanna giving Chris herpes, which she got from a rapper (*coughcough JAY-Z! coughcough*), who in turn gave it to the unnamed rapper's wife (*coughcough BEYONCE! coughcough*), but those rumors are neither here nor there...).

As for the identity of Chris' "woman," OK! says that a few days before he basically punched his career goodbye (he lost all endorsements, and radio stations have stopped playing his music), he was seen getting flirty with the CDC's favorite spokeswoman, Petri Dish (a/k/a Paris Hilton).

It's bad enough that this little punk had the nerve to hit a woman, but if Chris beat Rihanna over a text he got from Paris, he deserves twenty life sentences and a donkey punch from Nikki Sixx. Chris is the one who deserved a beat down for flirting with that skankazoid.

Annnnnnnnnd there's more. E! (everyone's getting in on the fun) says a source told them that Chris theatened to kill Rihanna (why so classy?!) after she threw the car keys out of the window during the beat down. This put the rage of Mike Tyson & OJ Simpson on crack into Chris' body and he allegedly choked her until she passed out. That's when he took off running.

There's more details on her injuries. RiRi's right eye was so swollen, she couldn't open it.

REST ASSURED, if any man today showed the supreme stupidity of even THINKING to pick up his hands to me in ANYTHING other than love and respect, my response to him would be the LEAST of his concerns (and believe me, it would not be pretty), because he'd have so many Sicilians on his sorry back he'd think he was deep in the heart of Palermo.

And while, in the USA, one is innocent until proven guilty, I have one thing to say to Chris Brown, whom I once had respect for as an artist, and who I photographed on several occasions (irony of ironies, it's my stock photos of him, and Rihanna, that are selling like hot-cakes at the moment -- terrific): Chris Brown, it's a shame you didn't pick a woman like me to administer a beat-down upon -- I'd have you singing soprano for real. If you didn't do it, then I apologize, and I hope the public can forgive you -- but if you DID, then I can only hope that this is the beginning of the end for you, in every way imaginable.

And to the entertainment, and advertising, industries that I have called home for nearly eleven years: Thank you, from myself and every other woman out there, that you are holding men like Chris Brown RESPONSIBLE for his actions. Thank you, from myself and every other woman out there, especially women who have suffered and, yes, DIED at the hands of their abusers, for sending the message that behavior like this will NOT be rewarded. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for proving that REAL men DON'T abuse and beat and hate women, and for giving us faith (however temporarily) in you. It (almost) makes me forgive you for unjustly stripping Michael Phelps of his Frosted Flakes endorsement.

Wrigley's Suspends Chris Brown

This saga just keeps getting worse and worse! First off, I was such a great fan of Chris Brown - "CHRIS BREEZY!" I can't believe this whole Rihanna assault event, it's so horrible. Brown turned himseld into LAPD Sunday night for an alleged assault on 20-year-old girlfriend Rihanna. Wrigley’s has now suspended Chris Brown’s Doublemint ads until his legal problems are settled.

The statement just released says, “Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”
