Yes, it does support the new HD camera.
Photobooth takes photos in 720p, although video is done in 480. Strange.
At least, in the original DP2. 11A444d was very buggy for me with iTunes and Mail for some reason, had to downgrade, didn't think to try Photobooth then.

I think Apple thinks that by taking the best of the two worlds they are creating a "better" user experience. I don't know if this is the case but I think that this is clearly the inevitable long-term outcome. Time will tell.

This is the very reason why I think that Apple's policy should be reconsidered. Why would content providers such as the Financial Times be compelled to offer their content on iOS, when Apple requires them to (additionally) use the in-app purchases by which the providers lose the advantage of using their own register and keeping the entire revenue, without having to share it with Apple. The position of the Financial Times is completely understandable, regardless of what kind of business decisions the provider makes. It still doubt whether the true motive of Apple to enforce this measure is not consumer protection but receiving profits from the content of others.
Why should people who just want to read the news be compelled to provide the FT with personal information in order to do so? Why does the FT need to know my name, address, phone number, etc.?

basically, we had 132 million points back on 16 Oct and were ranked #60.
we got down to #57 with 202 million points on 20 July 2010.

there was supposed to be a mass exodus when the Verizon iPhone was reeased as well/ It was not as many as the analysts expected. I doubt there will be a mass exodus for this either becasue the majority of people are sheep. They might get mad for a moment, but eventually they will justify staying and that will be it. Making a stand is hard, conforming is easy.
There may not be a "mass exodus" but you can rest assured that my family (4 of us) will be switching to Verizon and joining my Dad (who currently is with Verizon) as of July 1st. :D

While I disagree with the article's author when he says we don't spend too much on Education and Defense... he's 100% right about the MAIN problem.
What really busts our budget are the mind-boggling amounts we spend on our entitlement programs--Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid (especially Medicare and Medicaid). These programs are wildly more expensive than any other budget items, and they're also growing like weeds.
If we don't get Medicare and Medicaid expenses under control, the USA will go broke, pure and simple. And yet, almost no one in Washington has the stones to even talk about this, let alone do something about it. They just kick the can down the road.

Not necessarily, it could be a loss leader. Apple's margin on products is generally 35%, however.I was just about to post about this likely being a loss leader. They're generating buzz and traffic in their stores. Their losses on the iPad are designed to turn profit on other sales.

there is a small blue streak that showed up on my ipad 1 screen. The warranty is up on friday. Wondering if I can fix it myself.
