Agreed!!! I'd say, the max battery life required is the number of waking hours in a day. Of course, that assumes you listen for the entire day including, eating, showers, bathroom time...
I'd tend to think that 12 hours is enough with a recharge at night. Oooooooooh but what about people who travel or backpack for a long trip without a charging opportunity. Maybe they need more charge time? Does anyone listen to headphones while hiking? I'd want to keep a listen out for bears (Stephen Colbert has set me straight as to the danger of bears!). :D

I have heard of the 2TB limit per drive before. I cannot confirm this 100% though as all my drives are less than 2TB. I have 3.5 TB total but it consists of 3x 1TB and 1x 500GB.
I think 2TB drives are a great option for you. They can be had for as little as 75-80 each these days and 4 of them would give you 8TB in your file server. Not too shabby.
I myself plan to buy a couple 2TB drives soon as I am running out of space even with 3.5 TB.

It's not clear to me *why* it goes on sale at 5 PM, it's just clear that's how it's going to happen. I expect Apple store employees to direct iPad 2 buyers to a line which will start getting serviced at 5.

Some people obviously don't know the cost of staff downtime. Each day, how much longer does it take windows computer to boot up than a Mac? Minutes longer. Add that up over every single work day. Then add the anti-virus scans, annoying pop ups, etc.
I support PCs and servers in my job, along with Macs as we're a mixed shop.
I can say without a shadow of a doubt what you put down has little basis in reality. Yes, windows machines take longer to boot up, but not always because of the the antivirus software.
They take longer because IT (me and my co workers) we make sure that group policies are pushed out on every reboot, so the machines are fairly locked down. We also push out updates to software automatically and also yes do virus scans.
For IT to take macs serious, they will need to easily apply group policies to the computer remotely and automatically. Have applications available that allows them to update client applications.
The cost of such is generally to a degree that makes using macs not feasible.
btw, I get just as many calls regarding problems with macs as I do with PCs. In fact many enterprise applications have some major compatibility issues with Safari.
Total Cost of Ownership, up time, training support and efficiencies all point to using PCs over a Mac.

Asset depreciation of Macs is the same as PCs, so there's no financial incentive for a business to hold on to a mac longer then a PC, and actually its negative to hold on to an asset when its fully depreciated even if its still functional. Has the same level of support required, i.e., support calls for users who need help, has some serious compatibility issues with some enterprise applications and also requires a fair amount of re-training for both the users and support staff.

Weird question, why is F@H showing up as a user level process? I remember it used to show up as a nice process when I ran it last years ago. It's set to idle level in the setup of course and I never noticed till now because it seems to be behaving as a nice process but it's not showing up as one.

I know a lot of people have been looking for a tweak that can delete all mail in one tap rather individually.

Samsung know they are in trouble with the Apple suits, and rightly so. But instead of just defending the suit against them, they are making stuff up to get back at Apple.

you really should go look up how it works before you start insulting us.
I was not talking crap. That little tid pit I put in about the filing only if getting pissed off and sued came form our resident patent lawyer on these boards who explain why many times you only see law suits after they get sued. They go into the file if sued by so and so bring these up.
That is why many of these patents are filed away and never really sued unless antoher company starts pissing you off or acting childish like Apple. It gives you more leverage to use against them in their lawsuit against you.
I do find it funny. Fanboys cheered when Apple sued Samsung but Samsung responds and now called Samsung childish.
Fanboys call Kodak pantint trolls when they sued apple.

apple says no, and i can confirm this on my new 2nd gen shuffle. there is a slight gap.Can you be more specific? What do you mean by the word "slight"? Old iPods have a 1-2- second gap between tracks. Is it less than a second?
