A very "noobish" question.....Are iMac's upgradable? The reason i ask is because my current computer is a Dell XPSONE 24 (all in one machine). It has been great, but is rapidly becoming outdated. I can no longer update my graphics card without issues and due to the machines design i cannot upgrade the graphics card. (power supply cannot handle anything better).
I am really considering the iMac because i love the all-in-one designs and fits what i need. However, i don't want to be stuck in this same situation in 2 -3 years.
You can upgrade memory and harddrives (there are two internal connectors and if you count the optical drive, three) but opening up requires suction cups (and preferably a dust-free environment).
But more importantly, the standard way to upgrade a Mac is sell the old model and get a new one. The resale value of used Macs is pretty high, have a look at E-bay prices.

No, there were many specific allegation (for example the patent claims), and many others (trade dress) aimed at a broader range of devices. And for the claims that don't require pleading with great specificity, they did give examples.
So we agree that their lawsuit isn't "a specific claim against a specific model". ;)

I will not use any cloud stuff anyway, if it's free or not doesn't matter. No need for government and corporations to gather even more data on everybody. It's a sour pill wrapped in a thin layer of sugar. Everybody embracing this cloud stuff seems to either be not very well informed or simply doesn't value freedom and the simple democratic rule of "innocent until proven otherwise".

sure. apple has no problem giving a refund, as they keep their 30% that the developer now has to pay. that's a cool $300 that apple just ripped off from the developer all to protect their mistake and their idiot customers.

Obviously taking everything out of context, when we are dealing with the bleeding obvious there is no reason not to suggest it. I watched the video before reading the comments, so your point has no substance.You must have seen a lot of people having fits to be able to make such a confident judgement. Personally, having only lived with a severe epileptic in the household for nine years, I would unhesitatingly defer to you expertise. What do I know?

What happened to iCal from the Beta 1 Lion release? I felt that was a great unification of iOS iCal and OS X iCal (the layout was similar to iPad's iCal but it still looked like an OS X app). This new, giant brown header with embossed buttons and hard-to-read titles is just... awful.

It seems that nobody ever likes anything successful.. Look at poor mcdonalds,coca cola,Ford and now apple and its ipod.... All the biggest comapanies always get in trouble. BMW and their idrive, ford and the firestone blowouts, apple and hearing loss... while dont people stop being jealous and peee off.
Ford and GM problems are their own fault - they don't produce fuel efficient cards - in north america - other ( non u.s ) manufacturers do - and they are reaping the benefits - whilst oil prices are high.
Once again the drones at Microsoft can't come up with anything new so they spend all their money trying to muscle in on something someone else had the vision to create. I hope they fail big time.
By the time M$ get any sort of marketshare Apple will be onto something new and innovative that that Big Bill will have to throw even more $$$ down the drain to catch up.
Jobs must be laughing his A*** off, he's forced M$ to create something that's going to lose them money, whilst Apple turns a tidy profit on each iPod sold!

oh ok. well we are now #60. so someone else must have passed us as well. looks like we're safe there for a couple months at least
We are only just a little bit slower than Lithuania we could retake them if we had a few more ppd. China is another story, that would take quite a bit higher ppd to get back in front of them, the longer they are in front of us the farther back we get :(

"Top secret" also probably means "not developed enough to show yet".
I seriously doubt any or many features are actually being withheld to stop MS from implementing them.

Is this good for case manufacturers (more product varieties to sell, more shelf space allotted, more chance to sell a new case to a user who changes models) or a headache (less economy of scale, more customer confusion)?

Apple shouldn't be aloud to state the thickness as being the same as the black iPhone. If they can't even fit into some cases then it's just yet another issue apple has to amend. Honestly, with all the QC issues and delays in the past do they just purposely not tackle issues that surely a competant R&D faculty would inevitably find?

I used to live in NYC when the technology was just TDMA, it was piss poor then.
AT&T had terrible service then, and the New York State AG wanted to sue them for overselling their service.
In 2005 AT&T was passing out 3G SIMS like raffle tickets in phones that weren't 3G -I need some internal wireless guru to tell if that extra hand-off doesn't make a difference.
Does the 2007 iPhone (2G) having better call performance versus the iPhone 3G?
What percentage of all 3G devices on the AT&T platform is the iPhone 3G?
Is there something wrong in the code for the iPhone's 3G implmentation of the protocol that makes it use more of the network compared to a Blackberry Bold?
Or does AT&T just keep scapegoating iPhone cause they finally have a product that no other U.S. carrier has and everybody appears to want.
