She may, or may not, have exercised poor judgement. We do not know. We don't know if jumping on the hood of a car with your pissed off husband in the driver's seat is poor judgement? Come now, skunk. Be honest. I understand that you think the wife shouldn't be given any legal charges, this much I agree with, but don't tell me we don't know if she used poor judgement.
He, definitely and 100%, was a homicidal tool. We do know that. He admitted as much. Cool. I never argued that wasn't so.
Only one person is guilty.Of what exactly? You seem to be arguing two different discussions and argue with ambiguity.

I think this is the main concern of Apple delaying the launch of this new iPod Video. They need to have figured out a way for the battery life to last at least 4 to 6 hours...:(

Just be sure to invest in anti-static screen roller. Once you've taken the glass off, it's almost impossible to get it back on without being left with a speck of dust trapped between the LCD and glass. 27 inch is twice as frustrating
Good point.

Okay, so when do people want to meet up? Do we want to do a drinks and dinner outing, or just drinks, or something even less formal?
I'm up for something any evening except possibly Wednesday. I can probably make it then in a pinch, but I'd have to cancel another commitment.
Location? Meet up at Moscone and move on from there? Meet at a restaurant? There are a number of restaurants within just a block or two...there's the Metreon's upscale food court, Thirsty Bear (tapas and good microbrews), Buca di Beppo (family-style Italian), Chevy's (Mexican, er, American chain restaurant Mexican, but I like it just fine)...I'm sure there are some other options that I'm missing off the top of my head, so feel free to suggest others. Things will obviously be busy in the area due to MW, so we may to have to plan ahead with reservations of some sort if we're going to dinner...ballpark numbers probably okay, but we'll need something.
What's good for you folks?

1. TRIM
2. USB 3.0
3. Voice Control for Expose/Spaces (say part or all of the title of a window and that window is brought to the front; add the ability to bring up a set of windows at the same time and equally share screen space and then return the windows to their previous positions when done)

Can you actually switch the internal PS3 harddrive without voiding your warranty?
Personally I like the attachment-style interface for the 360 HDD better (simpler solution).
Yes, you can switch it without voiding your warranty. Think MacBook style. Take the HDD cover off, unscrew, pull left, and switch HDD. Just as simple. :)

I think (and I'm not at all qualified in GAP to say for sure one way or the other on this) that the reason Apple doesn't need to charge for this is that even though they advertised it as being able to take up to 4GB of RAM, it's not really a feature, it's a bug. The customer already has to purchase RAM on their own. It's the firmware on the device that isn't working properly with the RAM they purchased. So, Apple can slip in the fix that allows the machine to properly recognize 8GB of RAM and not have any problems with accounting procedures.
Also, Apple products are notorious for accepting more RAM than Apple advertised -- my previous MacBook2,1 had 4GB installed, which left about 3.5GB usable. Apple advertised that it's max was 2GB, but it worked just fine with 4GB in it. I know there are others as well that I had with more RAM in them than the max advertised.
That would be such absolute BS but it wouldn't surprise me at all. "Oh, you want to be able to use more RAM in your Mac? Well that wasn't advertised when we sold it to you, so in order to be able to do that you'll need to hand over $1".

Put me down in the, "I'll believe it when I see it" crowd. Getting decent battery life out of anything with a 0.3W radio transmitter in it is difficult -- unless you don't use it to actually talk to anyone, or put in a large battery. "Ye cannae change the laws o' physics!" Or electrochemistry, for that matter. :D

This is what I want Mac OS X to have:
Say you have a Folder called "Folder A" and it has files "File A", "File B" and "File C" in it. Now imagine that you are copying another instance of "Folder A" that has files "File C", "File D" and File E".
Windows will first, tell you that "Folder A" already exists, and would you like to copy to the same location. If you say yes, Windows continues. It then will tell you that "File C" already exists and tell you which one is newer and give you the option to keep the newer or older file before it continues to copy. When the computer is finished copying, you end up with "File A", "File B", "File C (newer or older, depending on which you chose to keep)", "File D" & "File E".
Nice, Neat & Easy.
Mac OS X on the other hand has a dramatically different approach.
Mac OS X will warn you that "Folder A" already exists, and if you choose to continue anyway, you will lose "File A" & "File B". You will be given "File C" from the source folder without the option to choose which one to keep.
To me, the Mac OS X method of dealing with this is frakkin' nuts! Why do they not give the option to merge? I know that there are 3rd party Finder extensions and replacements that allow this, but why should we have to pay for that.
My biggest complaint against Mac OS X is this. I hope to see this functionality appear in Lion.
Cheers!

I wonder if it can also detect objects. Like a foam sword or perhaps if it had some tansmitters on the ends or something.
...or glowing orbs on the ends maybe - you're right, that would be pretty cool!

is there somewhere in vegas a bet going who's first? vista or leopard?
There's no doubt that Vista will be first - on track for November release....
Unfortunately, the consumer release has to wait until after the Saturnalia purchasing orgy - so some will ignore the millions of copies running at businesses and claim that Vista ships sometime in January.
ps: RC2 (build 5744) is pretty darn good - I've moved several of my systems over to it for day-to-day use. Also upgraded a couple of Media Center Editions to Vista Ultimate. Vista's MCE is a big step forward for an already impressive product.
pps: Since one of Leopard's "super secret" features is Apple's attempt at a media center (to go with Frontrow, iTV and the new Conroe mini-tower/HTPC form factor), Microsoft has raised the bar. Since Apple is running Vista internally, of course they already know that. ;)

Nokia is only enforcing the legal right to attempt to protect what they consider is misuse of their IP. Let them.
Why does everyone get their knickers in a bunch about this? If they have a case it'll be upheld, if they don't then the court will throw it out. Big deal. Blame litigation happy America if you have to.
EDIT: Oh and to people saying why has it taken so long to bring an action - these corporate matters can take a while to rumble through. Yes, commercial pressures do have an impact on when cases are brought - trust me, it happens an awful lot!

I would even pay for this, but no more than $10 for home state then pay $5 for each extra city/state so you buy what you need rather than get everything. Means you can travel the world and pay $5 for each destination city rather than paying $30 a day for a sat nav from Avis/Hertz etc
I understand where you are coming from, but many of the apps already offer this via in-app purchase, and it's generally $10-20 for the entire USA or a continent. Your prices would be too high to me.
