Fundraising effort for 2011

So with your help I have raised an astonishing £824, but I have 7 months to try and raise another £1000. That's a huge amount to raise so I need to be organised this year. I need to think bigger. I've got a few things lined up for 2011 - I've ordered all the valentines things I need to make some heart-shaped goodies to sell at work. I might be lucky to raise £150ish, but how do I raise a few hundred in one hit? That is the big question.

Fundraising initiatives for this year:

• Continue with the monthly raffles: I'm hoping to giveaway prizes like digital cameras, iPods etc this year, but obviously this is dependent on ticket sales. Some lovely bloggers have posted about my fundraising efforts and this has made a huge difference to the sales. What would be wonderful is if more bloggers could help me out and also perhaps let me do some kind of guest post that would be a huge help!

• Make valentine's and Easter gifts to sell at work: I've ordered some heart-shaped gift boxes and other supplies to make soaps, chocolates, chocolate lollipops, cup cake cases and hot chocolate gift sets
  

• Sell some wares at local craft fairs: I'm thinking my mugs, lollipops, tea cosies etc

• Ask bloggers to contribute to my charity shop: I sell a few bits and pieces that I no longer have a need for in my Charity shop and would love it if any of you would be kind enough to donate something homemade to this shop to sell.
