Acting my age

Well, the 3rd installment of Twilight came out on DVD this week and it got me thinking. Do you remember this time last year I did a post about feeling old at the age of 29? Well, here it is if you want to have a read. Sometimes I think we forget about the mini milestones we achieve over the course of year and I think we all could do with giving ourselves a little pat on the back. I am quite a forward-looking person; I don't like to dwell on the past, but sometimes it does pay to look back so that we can see how far we have come. So here are my mini achievements for 2010 compared to this time last year:

Stopped biting my nails down to the quick and now have beautifully manicured long nails! - I never ever thought this would be possible as I have consistently bitten my nails for over 20 years!
  • Go to the gym now at least twice a week in my lunch breaks
  • I walk for miles now whereas before I drove everywhere
  • Lost 1 stone (gone down 2 dress sizes)
  • Go to physio twice a month for my neck - I'm trying to get rid of an injury once and for all!
  • Got a new job that I love
  • No longer stress about work - life really is too short (I learned that the hard way!)
  • Sorted out the electrics and plumbing in my house
  • Paid off my bank loan and credit cards, and cut them up
  • Ran two 5ks
  • Cleared out all the junk from our garage to fit the car in
  • Made some new bloggy friends
  • Made my own jam
  • Learned Thai boxing
  • Started wearing dresses rather than baggy jeans or trousers/shirts
  • Went to La Manoir and had the tasting menu

Just to update you - I don't feel old any more and I've come to realise there are 24 year olds who act a lot older than I do! :-)

Please feel free to join in and post about your accomplishments for 2010. Go on, give yourself a great big pat on the back!!
