Since we've had the boiler installed and the electrics (ongoing -finished very soon) the kitchen has been unbearable so I have just temporarily tidied it up and moved a rug that we had in the dining room in there (floor's all ripped!).
The boiler is now behind the curtain here:
The next job will start very soon and that will be to restructure the upstairs so that my sewing room will be bigger and the bathroom door will be moved.
I ended up picking these wardrobes up in our car. Amazingly they fit in 2 trips so I saved myself £68 in delivery charges. The really spooky thing is that the chap I bought the wardrobes from used to work for my old company! Very small world indeed!
Today I'm going to put the undercoat on the 1930s wardrobe (the other one will stay as wood) and then paint it in F&B French Grey. On the inside panels I'm going to paper using 'Josette' in dove grey and white, and change the handles to some glass ones I have in my stash.
The next job on my list is to sort out this fireplace. I've got some 'back to black' to clean up in the insert and the surround I'm going to repaint in F&B all white.
Oh forgot to say - having to move all your stuff for the electrics served to highlight that I have far too much stuff. I sold most of it to Nutley Antiques for £60 and the remainder I put up on freecycle. Very pleased with myself! :-) More clearing to do - this time giving things I no longer need to people I know need them. :-)
