The daughter of Kamal Haasan, Shruthi makes her debut in Tamil with AR Murgudass unofficially titled movie Ezhavathu Arivu, in which Surya plays the lead.
In a recent interview, she said, "I am a great admirer of Suriya and am quite excited about acting with him.It would be too early to discuss on the story."
Delighted about making her foray into Tamil cinema as an actress, Shruthi says, “Chennai is where my heart is. Because this is my dad’s place and I grew up here. So I am happy to act in a Tamil movie.”
When she was asked was she was looking for cinema as a full-time career option, she replied, "Certainly. My experiences in movies have been wonderful so far, so I’m looking forward to so much more. At the same time, I would like to clarify that I would like to shine in both fields- acting and music"
Ezhavathu Arivu that is to be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under the Red giants banner, has already triggered high interests among tamil audience as Surya and A R Murugadoss’ last flick ‘Ghajini’ was a huge success.
