Katy Perry is set to make her film début, starring in the 2011 film The Smurfs, as Smurfette, alongisde Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Winters, Alan Cumming, and George Lopez. Katy Perry is just one of the stars who will lend their voices for a new movie based on the Smurfs, according to US reports. She is reportedly negotiating a deal to play Smurfette in a movie based on the creatures by cartoonist Pierre Culliford.
The Smurfs movie, which 'll be directed by Raja Gosnell, will be partly live-action as well as animation. KLaty Perry will reportedly be joined by X-Men actor Alan Cumming and How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris in the flick, which is due to be released in 2011.
