Hi everyone, the ebay saga continues. I went to post one of the items (actually quite small and light) thinking it would be about £2.50 (I do quite a lot of posting so I have a rough idea) - turned out to be £4.50 so I have made zilch on another item. It's laughable now though. As Hen so wisely said, I am putting the selling on hold until I know how long my days will be in the new job and how tired I'll be.
Today I was up at 5.15am to go to bootcamp, came back and fixed the little child's rocking chair that I got from Feegle, painted it and then painted this side board that I've had for a while. I didn't quite have enough of the Farrow and Ball 'parma grey' so I went to the local hardware store and got some Dulux satinwood mixed up in 'Luna Landscape 4'. The colour is brilliant and the quality of the paint is really good. I've ordered some Cath Kidston blue rose bloom wallpaper to put on the front and the sides. I saw Happy's lovely dresser and thought it might look quite pretty. I did debate whether to go for a Sanderson or Laura Ashley paper, but I think they are a bit too posh for our little cottage. I wanted something a bit brighter.
The rocking chair is for my sister. I'm going to make a red cushion for it using some Ikea fabric that I used to decorate some frames in my sister's nursery. Anyway, I think I might be picking my new (old) car up tomorrow and saying goodbye to my beloved bimmer. Oh well, it's all in a bid to save money and pay off debts! :-)
