Bootcamp and a giveaway in my new shop

Hi everyone,

Another month gone, sorry for my long absence again. Must try harder! Now, on to the serious matter of dieting and exercising. Well, the dieting hasn't been strict, but I have cut down massively. Hardly had any chocolate or crisps, and I have been eating porridge with nothing on it every day for breakfast. I'm not a huge fan of dieting anyway, so I've just been sensible and cut out the crap. Bootcamp has been a god send! I've been to 2 week's worth now and I have really noticed the difference. It's worked really well because 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) I have been getting up at 5am to go, doing 45 mins solid exercise and coming home or going straight to work. I now have longer days and can get more done because I'm up and about earlier. Last week was crazy busy, I had boot camp, loads of work, been up to London a few times (more on that when I know the outcome), and had work to do from college. I've got bronchitis too so I'm constantly coughing (don't think the 2 weeks of not having the heating on trying to conserve the oil has helped!). I haven't lost much weight (couple of pounds maybe), but I have lost 2 inches off my hips and 1.5 inches off my waist. I also feel a lot better. I can actually feel abs (under the flab mind you) and my upper body feels rock hard (probably down to the boxing on Friday - my god that was tough!!).

The new plan is to get a lot of work done in the house, not pretty work (oh no), but necessary things like electrics, plastering, driveway and drainage sorted (we don't have any drainage outside so one room is very damp), new flooring throughout, walls knocking down, new bathroom, new kitchen (the list goes on and on!). I can honestly say we cannot afford any of these things at the moment, but one can dream. Maybe one day I'll win the lottery! I do have a fancy car (actually bought because I did a LOT of driving and didn't want to breakdown), but hopefully (more on that) I won't have to drive much soon so I'm going to trade that in and get an old run around. Hopefully that way I can pay off some debts and actually start getting stuff done here! I honestly don't know how some people afford to get anything done in their house, it's all so expensive - £3k for electrics (and the rest!), £3k for new boiler, £10k kitchen, and £5k bathroom. It's insane! Maybe some people take loans out? I don't know. I'm even looking into some freelance proofreading work to try and generate some cash, although please don't check the typos here - it's my day off today! ;-)

In a bid to try and raise some much-needed funds and to try and do what I like doing - making things - I have set up a new shop "Hearts and Dreams". I'm starting with a giveaway open to anyone so plese do go and visit and enter if you so wish.

Off to bed now - need to get up super early tomorrow.

I will blog again soon with my new makes, pictures of my Chrimbo presents in situ and more general waffle.
