Happy 2010!

Hi everyone, thank you for all the well wishes I received on my last post. I hope you all had a good Christmas? I know I did, although it was all over far too quickly if you ask me. The Christmas dinner was a resounding success (thanks to OH, he is a legend!) - the goose was absolutely gorgeous. Even my fussy dad loved it! I've never been a fan of turkey, which is actually not traditional in the UK anyway, so it was lovely to try goose.

I got some lovely gifts this year so thank you everyone! :-) I will post about those another time once I manage to dust off my camera.

Onto plans for 2010 - I have put on so much weight in the last couple of years. I really struggle to juggle time for the gym and time to spend at home. I get so much grief for the OH if I get home late (alright for him, he eats anything and is a twiglet!), and I don't need a reason not to go to the gym as it is. What I need is support and encouragement! Anyway, I have found the perfect alternative - boot camp! I found one on the way to work very early in the morning so that way I can get my lazy (and fat) arse out of bed early, do intensive exercise motivated by not wanting to look a prat in front of others, get into work 2 hours earlier than normal and then I can leave work earlier and have more time at home. It also costs £125 for 4 weeks comprising 3 mornings a week of 45 mins exercise. Surely that combined with healthy eating I should be a twiglet before I know it? :-) I'm also going to have hypnotherapy as I suspect my poor eating habits are linked to stress, lack of confidence (not helped by my situation at work) and also this thing I have where I tell myself if I'm stressed it's OK for me to pig out on junk (lots of junk has been consumed in the last month or so). I need to reprogramme my way of thinking and I'm not daft enough to think that hypnotherapy alone will help me.

I am quite unfit at the moment and trying to motivate myself to do anything is so difficult - I'm at the stage now where I need a massive kick up the butt to exercise. I find that once I have my fitness at a certain level I can then go off for a run, cycle and exercise off my own bat.

Anyway, I hope you all have some good things planned for next year. Wishing my followers, readers and random lurkers a happy and healthy new year!

Best wishes,

Sian
