The BBQ yesterday was a great success - lots of people came along (probably about 15) so we had a very full cottage! It reminded me of Christmas - everyone sat around while we played Trivial Pursuit and Rock Band. The food was a great success too. We had a joint of beef (fore rib on the bone), shoulder of lamb, and rolls from The Old Dairy
Farm Shop, delicious sausages from Martin's Wood Farm - even the 'feta' cheese for the Greek salad was from the dairy up the road (High Weald Dairy).

Today I've been working on my next project - this beautiful antique chair that I was fortunate enough to get on Freecycle. The leg was broken so I fixed that in place with a few tac pins and wood glue. It had the original leather, but the elastic had gone in the seat pad so I am reupholstering the seat with this pretty Louise Loves fabric.

I was looking on the internet for places that deliver Farrow and Ball paints for free when I stumbled across The Little Greene Paint Company. What a fantastic company - the paint colours are gorgeous and authentic period colours. Also, they do free delivery and the paints are slightly cheaper than F&B, which is an added bonus! I have painted the chair in 'Lead Colour'. It's a gorgeous rich grey that looks really elegant on this chair.

Tim's mum gave me this frame (was originally gold) - I gave it a quick lick of paint and then cut up some of my fabric scraps and glued them on for a really simple picture.
The next project will be this table, which I will also paint in 'Lead Colour' and then distress. I will probably be selling this on my site though along with a few other bits and pieces that I no longer have any room for so do keep a look out. I will be posting some other things over the next few days.

Homemade rabbit and chicken pie for dinner tonight courtesy of Tim! :-)
Have a lovely evening!
