What a beautiful day it was too, so hot! I had some friends around for lunch today. I cooked chicken marinaded in tomato, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, rosemary and bay leaves. I served the chicken with whole roasted beetroot and greek salad. We sat out in the garden chatting sipping on the local apple juice.
It was lovely to catch up, we had a good moan about work , and I showed them round my house and the secret garden. I think they were suitably impressed and couldn't believe that I had got most of our furniture so cheaply. The big talking point was the Chesterfield sofa for £50! They thought it cost more like £1000. It's amazing that some people will buy a crappy Argos/Ikea chest of drawers not knowing that you can buy a beautiful solid wood old one with dove tail joints for the same price or less.
Anyway, back to normality tomorrow. Hope you've all had a lovely sun filled weekend!
