Sorting things out

Today we've had all the satellite TV (freesat, I don't waste money on packages! :-)) points sorted out and finally painted walls that still needed doing - the walls that had huge pieces of furniture in front of that I couldn't move on my own!

I've had a grand old tidy and clean too - isn't it amazing what you find when you sort things out. I found a really pretty set of bed clothes that I'd forgotten I'd bought (bottom right).

Tim's brother is here, he's going to help us clear the bottom garden (an extra patch out the back). We hope to be able to grow some veg this year. Last year we didn't move in until March which is a bit too late really. We did manage to dig the ground over but it's best to do this in the winter so that the frost can break up the soil.

I wanted to show you what I made this afternoon - it's a vintage breakfast set. I came up with the idea to make one of the these the other day and I've finally had the time to do it! The set includes a gorgeous vintage side plate, a stunning embroidered napkin, a vintage silver-plated egg cup and spoon, and a hand made egg cosy. I will be adding these to my blogshop later in the week. I just wanted to see what people think! :-)

I'm just about to go and make Tacos for dinner and home made rice pudding for dessert. Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
