I got home from work to find this lovely surprise on the doorstep! Mel, you are so naughty! Thank you for my lovely birthday pressies, I've already found homes for some of them! I love the little embroidered coasters and the cushion cover, just gorgeous! :-)
Another surprise today was a letter from Marcus Wareing's wife with some signed menus. How sweet is that? I shall be framing those and putting them up in kitchen!
I got some birthday money, thank you so much! I've decided to put this towards an Eglu Cube, something that I've wanted for ages, but haven't been able to afford. As you can see from my running total, I'll be putting all the funds from my makes, selling a few things and proceeds from selling my current Mark 2 Eglu. I've offered my Eglu to friends and family, but if anyone is interested drop me a line!
I'm so excited, I really want another 3 bantams, especially a little lavender bantam to add to the brood. Tim is going to build a permenant structure where we can keep it. When we moved we really had to stick where we could because the poor chooks had been cooped up all day in cardboard boxes, so the eglu eats into the garden. The cube will run along the wall and we will put down some turf in place of the eglu.
Anyway, I'll keep you posted. Off to make a cup of tea now!
