I've found the perfect place for the blanket...
I've got today off so I plan on working on a few sewing projects. First up, I want to make a tea cosy and some more egg cosies. Then I'm going to have a go at making some cushions. I'll be posting about it all later don't you worry! :-)
I found an amazing fabric shop that also sells wools, craft books, card making things you name it! I spotted they are going to do a crochet workshop so I thought I'd go along. I can crochet but I have no idea what any of the terminology is and haven't got a clue how to decipher a pattern. I just wish they would explain things in an easy to understand manner instead of hieroglyphics! That's true of a lot of sewing and knitting books too, quite frankly there's more chance of me being able to interpret a book written in Cyrillic! I spoke to the lady running the course - slightly retro in appearance, she was wearing a 1960s style apron in funky flowers - and she said that she would be showing us how to make flowers and granny squares, and also explain how to follow a pattern. I will definitely be signing up! :-)
