Cushion love

Ok, so if it's not tea and egg cosies, it's cushions! I've re-discovered my rotary cutter and board - why oh why was I not using this?!? It's amazing! It now means that I can cut in straight lines and don't have to keep getting my tape measure out every minute to check the length and width!

I've been making a lot of cushions lately! In fact I've made 8! LOL I've made 2 union jack cushions to brighten the sitting room up, some new ones for our bedroom and one for the guest room using a gorgeous faded roses Louise Loves fabric. The guest room is my one 'shabby chic' room so that's where all the white pretty and delicate things live! :-)

I thought I'd show you the bed clothes I found the other day, they look better on than they did in the packet. I am astonished at how pretty they are, and for £8 you can't grumble! Another successful QS purchase! You see the pillow case underneath, well that was £2.50 for 2 from Asda and then trimmed with lace, I like to do this with my pillow cases. I also like to trim them with colourful broderie Anglaise.

[New bed clothes - absolute bargain!]

I hope you are all having a good week? I've been very busy indeed this week! Last night some work colleagues and I took advantage of the £10 meal vouchers in the Evening Argus and ate at Aldo Zilli's restaurant in Brighton, very nice it was too. I love the interior, I felt like I was in an Austin Powers film, it was very retro!
