Corners of my home part 2...

I've been tidying, washing and pottering about the house today. Not doing anything much because it's so cold - in fact it's snowing here! Last night we celebrated Chinese New Year with lots of yummy authentic (home made might I add) Chinese food. I'm just heating up some of the leftovers now as I type.

It's my birthday at the end of the month so I got lots of presents from some of Tim's family. Thank you! :-) Including this lovely union jack door mat.

I love to change the bed clothes on a Sunday afternoon, there's nothing like sleeping in a freshly made bed! As I was doing so, I thought I'd share with you some pictures of our bedroom.

Isn't this cup pretty? I got this from Tim's mum and thought it would look nice in our room.

This is the lamp base I painted recently (it was dark green). The lamp shade was from the Laura Ashley sale (about £6).I'm reading Andrew Grieg's "That Summer" - so far so good. It's a WW2 love story .

I have a few projects to work on when Iget my act together! I have this printers tray to paint. I'm thinking of putting it on our room and putting jewelery etc in it. The other is the chair you see there. I have covered the seat but the chair needs fixing before I can paint it.

The only thing I have done today (project wise) is create this cover for the cat flap. The wind whistles through here and I thought it would definitely help to shut the cold out.I hope you've all had a good weekend.
