Did any of you watch Jamie's 'Save our Bacon' show about the appalling conditions that pigs are subjected to? I've been wondering when they were going to bring up the subject of free range pigs for a long while. I do try and buy most of my pork from the farm, but if not I've been buying it in Waitrose where all of their pork is free range. It made me all the more excited about the prospect of getting our half pig for the freezer. Over the last couple of years we've heard all about battery hens, but they have a brain the size of a pea. Pigs are so intelligent so imagine how depressed they must be being hemmed in?
The picture above is of the farm where we have ordered half a pig. Don't they look so happy?
I just saw this, perfect husband or what?
