It's a sad, sad state of affairs...

The credit crunch has really hit home this week. Our village shop which has been so handy and is only a minute walk down the road is shutting at the end of February! They tried to initiate a community shop scheme to try and keep the store but unfortunately that fell through. The annoying thing is that it's a really profitable business. If only I had the money to buy it myself, I think I could make it work! :-)

Anyway, it now means that if I want a loaf of bread or a pint of milk we have to drive to the next village. It's just such a shame.

Do you remember that gorgeous rustic table I bought a while ago on ebay for £50? Well, here it is in situ in Tim's office:

I'm so pleased that we can finally say good bye to that glass desk, lovely as it is, it just doesn't look right here!

I'm sure some of you clever people spotted the blue corner by the dresser. Yes, yes, I still need to paint that cream! We're going to paint that this week once the new satellite TV ports have been installed (free sat of course!).
