I went into HMV to buy some DVDs as presents and I spied a BBC period drama that I didn't even know existed - 'North and South' (2004) based on the Elizabeth Gaskell novel of the same name. So, when Tim was at his Christmas dinner yesterday I decided to watch it (4 hours worth that is) and I absolutely loved it! Move over Darcy, I just loved Richard Armitage as the dashing John Thornton! If you haven't seen this wonderful adaptation then I suggest you put it on your Christmas list, set aside a few hours, make yourself a cuppa, get your eiderdown out, snuggle up in front of the TV and enjoy!
