I haven't posted any fun stuff in a while all I've done is moan! LOL
Thank you for all the words of encouragement. It does help to know that you are not alone sometimes! I've decided to just apply for lots of jobs - I haven't got anything to lose in doing that, and to contact a few of my old work colleagues to see about freelancing. I haven't been doing this job all that long but then I can make my hourly rate reflect this. It would be good to have more flexibility in my life so that I can concentrate on selling some of my makeover items and bags etc. I want to do an interior design course too but most of them seem to be 1 day a week - I mean, how many people can do that eh?!? Most of us work or have family commitments! I'm also going to take a week's holiday, I still have 6 days left to take (including all the holiday I have booked off for Christmas) so I'll use that time to write my book and make all my Christmas pressies.
Last weekend we walked east of our house (the lovely photos before were North of our house!) and came across a sweet little oak wood (I can't give you the name of the wood because our house is named after it!). We took some lovely autumnal pictures too that I wanted to share with you.
I also made a small batch of crab apple jelly which turned out really well!
This weekend we went to visit our favourite farm shop - I'd ordered 3 rabbits. I love game because 1) you know the animals have had a good life roaming around; 2) they haven't been pumped full of fat and antibiotics and 3) the depth of flavour is something that you don't get with chicken and turkey, and other supermarket meats.
OH made a game pie which is the most delicious pie I have ever had!
He also cleaned my car bless him while I was picking the remaining crab apples from our tree and boiling them up. I've made about 10 jars now!
I discovered 2 new charity shops over the last couple of weeks and look at the treats I got.
This lovely constable print in an antiquey frame for £2.50.
This pretty little trinket box for £1.50.
Another pretty trinket box for £1.50.
Look at this gorgeous distressed floral picture for, just 50p!
Also, not forgetting one of my ebay bargains last week - some very large Laura Ashely curtains (made by Laura Ashley too!) for £20 including postage!
Those door stops you see were £1.50 each from the local cheap shop. I'll probably recover them but that keep the draft out.
I'm now going to sit and watch a film whilst eating lovely game pie followed by berry pie and custard, yum! :-)
P.s. I need to do some repair work on the antique chair before I paint it so no pics as yet! :-)
