It was such a beautiful autumn day on Saturday so we went for a stroll in the woods and gathered some chestnuts.
It's so nice to collect things from the woods, not only were they delicious but they were free. Certainly nothing to be sniffed at what with the 'credit crunch'! ;-)
I just love autumn and I love the countryside. I often wonder why people want to go away on holiday when we have a all this beauty on our door steps.
On the home straight now, just look at the beautiful view. That's been my holiday for this year! :-)
Later that evening we toasted the chestnuts in the fire. A perfect end to a perfect autumn day.
