I went down the lane posting leaflets about the Christmas workshop and I have been overwhelmed with the response. People seem to love the idea! I'll be serving up mulled wine and lots of tea and homemade cake so I hope I'll get some help from friends and family!
So, here's what I plan to cover:
- Soap making
- Fudge making (my own Christmas fudge recipe)
- Lavender hearts and dove workshop
- Shortbread
- I'll be showing them how to create tree decorations from wooden cut-outs
- Wrapping - brown paper, pine cones, string, old wallpaper, florist's cellophane, ribbon
- I also want to show people who don't have time how to repackage bought products to make them look handmade.
There is even a possibility I might have to extend the Workshop over 2 weekends!
The book is coming along nicely, what I could do with though is a bit more variety for the pictures. If anyone has a lovely house and they would like to see it in a book I would be so grateful! :-) What I need are examples of thrifting and make-do and mending.
