Ah it's good to be doing DIY again and things I enjoy doing. I've been on lots of courses at work this week and what with this running after work the exhaustion just hit me! The trouble with me is I have a million thoughts and ideas whizzing round in my head and end up stressing myself out because there just aren't enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to. I've also got a neck injury which is not serious and treatable through physiotherapy but nevertheless extremely painful, particularly when sitting at a desk or driving - 2 things I do a lot of during the working week. I've also been in agony because I've had to sit there and concentrate through two days of statistics training! :-(
Enough moaning, we've done a few bits and pieces around the house today. We popped into good old Travis Perkins this morning to get some pea shingle to finish off the front of the house ready for the winter. We also picked the lavender at the front and bunched it up, it smells amazing and we have so much of it - next door's cat decided to help us! :-)
I also wanted to show you my 5-minute makeover - I'm a bit of a dab hand at this wallpapering lark! I swear it took me 5 minutes to paper what was once just the original window pre-extension that was just painted green. I was originally going to paper the wall by the window but I decided against it. I also covered the lamp shade with CK washed roses fabric and also added some lovely green broderie Anglaise. I decided I like the green on that wall and the green glass in the window because it frames the view of the Ashdown forest. I love to look out of that window and admire the view. This is like my CK corner now! :-)
In amongst all this I have managed to re-cover the little stool I bought in the new CK blue sprig fabric and I've painted it in duck egg. I will post some pictures tomorrow and add it to my website.

TTFN,
