A fire guard - I'm going to take out the fragile embroidery and frame it, and replace the panels with a Cath Kidston fabric (I'm going to the one in Fulham on Sunday). I'll probably paint the wood in Duck egg blue and sand it down to get a lovely worn effect.
Flea market finds
Here we are, as promised here are the lovely things I found at the Flea market in Lewes.
A fire guard - I'm going to take out the fragile embroidery and frame it, and replace the panels with a Cath Kidston fabric (I'm going to the one in Fulham on Sunday). I'll probably paint the wood in Duck egg blue and sand it down to get a lovely worn effect.
An old enamel jug, which I'm going to put some of the lavender in from the front of the house.
An old enamel flour storage tin. We need one in our house because of the mice! :-)
A little foot stool. I'm going to re-cover this in a Cath Kidtson fabric (not sure which one just yet!) and paint in Duck egg. I'll be selling this on my website soon so watch this space! :-)
I also got a selection of pictures for the wall in our sitting room. I'm aiming for a look just like Posy.
