CK trip

OK so I'm afraid I didn't take any pictures but I did buy a few bits n bobs. I didn't stay for too long because if I did I would have bought the entire shop and then had to remortgage. I ended up going with OH's gran who very naughtily bought me the Pins tin and some pretty napkins which I'm going to use to cover (decoupage or whatever it's called) some lettering to go on the mantel piece.

I did end up buying a roll of the usual (I say that because just about EVERY blog I visit has it! LOL) Antique rose wallpaper, and 3 lots of fabric - some of that blue gingham and roses one, washed roses (I adore that pattern) and the new blue rose sprig fabric. I thought the rose sprig fabric would look lovely on the stool I bought the other day.

I've decided to have a go at making one of those granny squares blankets. I have no idea how to crochet but I'm going to get together with OH's gran, his aunty (crochet queen) and hopefully his cousin who is really good at sewing to share some skills. Should be good fun!

On the way to CK we popped into Elys (old fashioned independent department store) and noticed they had some CK bedding there for half price! Fortunately I don't need any bedding, I restrained myself but I thought I would pass on the tip incase anyone is looking to shop in Wimbledon!

I've probably slightly mislead peeps in my previous post about the Artex. I don't wait to remove it as such - I think that will have to wait a few years when I can afford to have it skimmed (that is the only way to properly be rid of it). I just want it smooth enough to be able to hide with wallpaper for the time being and why not cover with a beautiful CK paper! :-)

Btw, don't forget Tess of the d'Ubervilles tonight on BBC1!
