I hope you're all having a good weekend. I have painted one chest of drawers (same as the one I did before in white) Duck egg blue eggshell paint which I had mixed up at the Dulux trade centre and for the other chest of drawers in our room (long and more like a sideboard) I have covered the 9 drawers with the Laura Ashley summer palace wallpaper. It wasn't too difficult to cover the drawers, I just pasted wallpaper paste on and them smoothed them down and folded the corners as if I were wrapping a present. I'm going to go over the edges in PVA glue to make sure that the edges don't catch. I'm in 2 minds whether to paint the rest of the unit because it's actually quite a nice solid pine but we shall see what it looks like when the glue is dry. Once I have put both the drawers back together I will take some pictures of the results!
Here's the before picture - it's the horrible Ikea chest of drawers in the corner that I'm painting. I've had them for years but I can't justify getting rid of them at the moment.
Other than that I've been snuggled up on the sofa watching a few films and OH has been baking so it's been a nice day!
