My sewing room, bantams and competition results

I finished making the curtains today for my sewing room, it's not finished yet because I need to put a few shelves up, collect my new (or rather old) chair up from storage in Birmingham and at some stage get nice new carpet but I'm pleased with the results so far.

This is Tim's office, I still need to paint the left hand wall cream and put his antique gun up on the wall but it's looking very cozy in there. Again we desperately need new carpet in that room!

Yesterday we went to see a man in the village who breeds lovely little bantams. He showed us round, showed us how to candle an egg and we pickd up some adorable chicks. Anyway, when he has sexed them (4 weeks) he says we can come and pick two out and then he'll keep them for a further 2 weeks then we can add them to our brood. Bantams make lovely pets, they are not for people who want them purely for eggs but they are so friendly and sweet little birds. I'm really excited, hopefully by November we'll have 4 lovely hens! :-)

I finally got round to drawing the competition winners.....congratulations to Greedy nan and Ragged roses if you could drop me a line with your address I'll pop your lovely blue spot CK shopping bags in the post! :-)

In the last 30 mins I've been putting up loads of different pictures I've been collecting over the last few months up in the sitting room to try and go some way at disguising the horrible artex, what do you think?
