Barenaked Ladies Singer Arrested

The singer and guitarist for the Barenaked Ladies has been arrested on drug charges in upstate New York.

Police say Stephen Page was arrested for fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Friday near Syracuse.

The report states the arrest occurred at about 2 a.m. when authorities spotted a suspicious vehicle with it's driver side door open. Police say they found Page and two women, along with cocaine and marijuana, in a nearby apartment.

The singer was released after paying $10,000 bail, and is due back in court Thursday. Barenaked Ladies' manager Terry McBride confirmed the report, but declined further comment.
