New job and finally got round to drawing a winner!

I am really enjoying my new job and loving rolling out of bed at 7 instead of 5.30. I was surprised to find that I have my own office too - I feel very important! :-) It's funny, now that I have the experience I feel as if I can step into the role and get going with the work fairly quickly, a year ago I wouldn't have had a clue what to do! I had a look around the shops and was pleasantly surprised at how many shops there are. There are all the usual generic high-street stores and lots of nice independent boutique shops, a craft shop and a sewing shop. They also have a Laura Ashley and I spotted lots of £1.50 a roll wallpapers and cheap fabrics that I may have to purchase next week!


We had a power cut earlier (again, the perils of living in the country) so I lit lots of candles and put then in the fireplace they look so beautiful that I had to take a picture.

Anyway, I drew a winner but was too tired and too lazy to take pics (sorry). The winner is (drumroll)......ethel and edna's tearoom

I will pop all the bits and pieces in the post for you as soon as I get a second.


A thifty Mrs has also kindly presented me the Arte y pico award. Thank you Mrs! :-) I am honored to have received such an accolade and would like to thank my mum and dad for putting up with my teenage antics, the other half for putting up with me when I'm grumpy and Rosie for putting up with me picking her up and cuddling her when all she wants is some go cat!

Now I suppose I should make a naf speech about how "I'm just a Valleys girl" with some dreadful mid-Atlantic accent. ;-)
